About Wrestling.news
Wrestling.news was founded and created by Randy Marston — an independent journalist and digital strategist with over 25 years of experience in journalism, entertainment, and digital media. Driven by a deep passion for uncovering stories and delivering timely, engaging content, Randy leads both the editorial vision and technical development of the site. As the lead web developer and one of our core contributors, he plays a key role in shaping the voice and direction of Wrestling.news.
Since 1998, Randy has been at the forefront of pro wrestling and entertainment media online, helping to establish and develop some of the earliest and most influential wrestling and news websites, including InternetOutlaws.com, WrestlingHookup.com, WrestleScoop.com, WrestlingPlanet.com, and Top-Rope.com. These platforms laid the groundwork for modern fan engagement, insider reporting, and the intersection of sports entertainment and digital storytelling. Randy Marston has contributed as a news journalist to some of the most respected and enduring pro wrestling platforms in the industry, including WrestlingInc.com, WrestleZone.com, and WrestlingHeadlines.com (formerly LordsofPain.net), among many other influential insider outlets and major wrestling media brands. After building WrestlingHookup.com into one of the most visited professional wrestling news platforms on the internet from 1999-2001, Randy sold the company to Niolan, Inc. (Belgium based Entertainment Company) in the winter of 2001. Since then, Randy has built a successful career in sales and marketing. Still, with a deep, devoted passion for news, sports, and entertainment that has never faded-his passion is what brings us here today.
Randy's technical journey began in 1997 with hands-on experience in HTML, PHP, CGI, and SSH, and has evolved into full-stack web development and modern CSS capabilities. Along the way, Randy has collaborated with major platforms such as UGO.com, IGN.com, and eUniverse/Intermix Media-the original owner of MySpace.com, which was sold to News Corp for $580 million in 2005. Randy's contributions spanned from advertising development, strategic cross platform partnerships to early social media strategy.
With Wrestling.news, Randy Marston brings his legacy into a new era — merging independent journalism with dynamic multimedia, sports, and pop culture coverage. Leveraging decades of digital media experience, Randy remains committed to delivering timely, high-quality content while helping shape the future of professional wrestling online news.
