AEW Collision Ratings Report (10/04): Viewership Dips in Early Timeslot Move

This week’s episode of AEW Collision saw a slight dip in audience numbers as the show aired in an earlier timeslot.

According to Wrestlenomics, the October 4 episode of AEW Collision drew 226,000 viewers on TNT, down from 248,000 the previous week. The show also earned a 0.03 rating in the key 18–49 demographic, a small drop from the 0.05 posted on September 27.

The earlier 7 p.m. ET start time — one hour ahead of Collision’s normal slot — likely played a role in the decline. Despite the move, the show still ranked #19 on cable for the night, holding steady against stiff Saturday competition.

AEW Collision was also simulcast on HBO Max, though Warner Bros. Discovery has not released streaming viewership data for that broadcast.

This week’s numbers were calculated under the new Big Data + Panel methodology, a system that industry insiders have noted often skews unfavorably for pro wrestling compared to older Nielsen metrics.

The women’s segment between Kris Statlander and Toni Storm topped digital traction for the night, showing AEW’s continued success in using YouTube to extend storylines beyond the live broadcast.

🎙️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

The earlier start time almost certainly hurt Collision’s live viewership, but this wasn’t a creative misfire — it was a scheduling shift. AEW’s Saturday audience tends to arrive later in the night, and moving the start to 7 p.m. ET historically creates a noticeable ratings dip.

Still, Collision maintaining a Top 20 finish on cable despite the timeslot change is a quiet win. The Statlander–Storm rivalry leading digital engagement shows where AEW’s storytelling momentum is strongest right now — character-driven feuds anchored by emotional authenticity rather than just match cards.

Expect AEW to rebound next week when Collision returns to its normal slot.
