AEW returned to the historic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia for another fiery edition of Collision, and the passionate crowd got their money’s worth. The night featured everything from technical showcases to chaotic brawls, surprise challenges, and the continued rise of the Triangle of Madness. Daniel Garcia issued a bold challenge to Jon Moxley, Toni Storm led the women’s division in a show-stealing main event, and Don Callis’ army kept building momentum on the road to Dynamite.

Here’s how it all went down:

Daniel Garcia def. Blake Christian

Garcia opened the night still carrying the weight of his loss to Jon Moxley earlier this week. Before the match even began, Moxley appeared at ringside, whispered advice in Garcia’s ear, and left without explanation — leaving both Garcia and Daddy Magic confused.

Distracted early, Garcia fought from underneath as Christian got the better of him with help from Lee Johnson. But once Garcia snapped into gear, the 2300 Arena came alive. A barrage of chops and a vicious spike piledriver secured the win.

Post-match, Tony Schiavone asked about Moxley’s words. Garcia brushed him off and challenged Moxley to a rematch next week, with Wheeler Yuta stepping in to accept on behalf of the Death Riders.

TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher & Josh Alexander def. Kyle O’Reilly & Tomohiro Ishii

Don Callis gloated on commentary as his Family once again stole a win. O’Reilly and Ishii showed strong chemistry, but a late distraction allowed Alexander to hit a low blow on Ishii, followed by a straight-jacket piledriver to seal the victory.

After the bell, Roderick Strong tried to pull O’Reilly away from Ishii, fueling more tension within their alliance.

Jamie Hayter & Thekla Brawl Outside the Arena

In a chaotic backstage cut, Hayter and Thekla exploded in a wild brawl on the loading dock. Security couldn’t keep them apart as Thekla leapt off the dock onto Hayter and several officials. The women’s division is on the verge of its most violent showdown yet.

Hologram def. Jay Lethal

The undefeated Hologram extended his AEW record to 31-0 with a hard-fought win over ROH legend Jay Lethal. The Philly crowd split its energy between both men, but Hologram countered the Lethal Injection into a crushing lung blower before landing the Protobomb for the victory.

Post-match, a glitch filled the arena screens — teasing the arrival of a mysterious “Red Hologram” clone. The words “SOON” flashed ominously before cutting out.

Alex Windsor def. Ashley Vox

Windsor wasted no time dismantling Vox with a series of powerbombs and a Sharpshooter. Afterward, she sent a clear warning to Mercedes Moné, challenging her to a TBS Championship match in Philadelphia.

Mark Briscoe Confronts Don Callis

Briscoe demanded a TNT Title shot against Kyle Fletcher, but Callis brushed him off. Instead, he promised Briscoe a match against a Family member on Dynamite — with a title shot only if Briscoe wins.

FTR def. JD Drake & Adam Priest

Despite Stokely Hathaway being absent (after Christian Cage’s attack on Dynamite), FTR fought through an early scare. Drake nearly scored an upset with a moonsault, but FTR regrouped to hit the Shatter Machine. Harwood then forced Priest to tap with the Border City Stretch.

After the win, FTR called out Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, vowing to “end their careers in Toronto” at All Out.

Big Bill def. Juice Robinson

Looking for revenge after losing $200K in the tag match weeks ago, Big Bill finally got his hands on Juice. Robinson fought valiantly, even staggering Bill with a stiff left hand, but Bryan Keith’s interference tipped the scales. Bill planted Robinson with his sidewalk slam to score the win.

Main Event: Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa & Queen Aminata def. Julia Hart, Skye Blue & Billie Starkz

The women’s division delivered a wild six-woman tag main event. Storm, Shirakawa, and Aminata worked beautifully together, highlighted by Shirakawa’s high-risk crossbody to the floor.

The Triangle of Madness cut off Aminata for long stretches, but Storm’s hot tag swung momentum. Shirakawa finished Starkz with the Glamourous Mina for the victory.

The celebration was short-lived, as Thekla stormed the ring to spear Shirakawa. Storm and Aminata tried to save her but were overwhelmed. Triangle of Madness stood tall, leaving the AEW Women’s World Champion and her allies laid out to close the show.

Announcements for Next Week

  • Jon Moxley vs. Daniel Garcia (Collision)
  • Mercedes Moné vs. Alex Windsor (TBS Championship, Dynamite)

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

AEW Collision in Philly was proof once again that the promotion thrives on chaos. The women’s division feud is white-hot, with the first-ever Blood & Guts match seemingly inevitable. Garcia vs. Moxley 2 adds legitimacy to Garcia’s push, while Hologram’s “glitch” teases AEW’s next big story arc. And with FTR promising career-ending violence for Copeland and Cage, All Out just got a lot more dangerous. This wasn’t filler — this was Collision laying down building blocks for a massive September.
