AEW Collision lit up Roanoke, Virginia, delivering a night packed with championship stakes, hard-hitting brawls, and high-octane drama from start to finish. From Kyle Fletcher’s gritty TNT Championship defense against the Stone Pitbull Tomohiro Ishii, to Hangman Adam Page teaming with JetSpeed in a wild six-man main event against La Facción Ingobernable, the Berglund Center crowd witnessed a collision course of pure wrestling chaos — and plenty of post-match fireworks.

Location: Berglund Center – Roanoke, Virginia
Date: August 9, 2025

TNT Championship Match

Kyle Fletcher (c) def. Tomohiro Ishii
The Stone Pitbull wasted no time, blasting Fletcher with heavy forearms and chops that echoed through Roanoke. Ishii’s superplex nearly ended it, but Fletcher survived, weathering the storm and dishing out brutal knee strikes. After a sheer-drop brainbuster on the apron and another inside the ring, Fletcher scored the hard-fought pin to retain.
Post-match, Fletcher declared this “the greatest TNT Title reign in history” and issued an open challenge for Forbidden Door, daring New Japan to send its best.

Backstage: Don Callis, rocking a vintage New Japan tie, applauded Fletcher’s win and promised to “choke out” NJPW’s representative in Cincinnati.

Megan Bayne def. Emily Rose

Bayne dominated from the opening bell, crushing Rose with a spear, butterfly suplex, and a running Liger Bomb for a decisive victory.

Ricochet def. Juice Robinson

Ricochet’s alliance with Gates of Agony paid off again. After a back-and-forth battle — including a shooting star press that nearly sealed it — Big Bill nailed Juice with a boot behind the ref’s back, setting Ricochet up for the pin.
Winner: Ricochet

FTR & Stokely Hathaway def. Ryan Zukko, Joe Keys & Josh Fuller

FTR did the heavy lifting before letting Stokely sneak in the spike piledriver for the win.

Hechicero def. AR Fox

Fox’s aerial assault was countered by Hechicero’s ring savvy. After blocking a 450 splash, the luchador locked in a unique submission for the tap-out.

Six-Woman Tag

Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart) def. Queen Aminata, Tay Melo & Willow Nightingale
Fast-paced chaos saw Skye and Julia hit a double-assisted DDT on Tay for the win.

Best Wrestler Alive Challenge

Katsuyori Shibata def. Max Caster
Shibata’s strikes overwhelmed Caster before sealing the win with a PK. LFI attacked post-match, but JetSpeed made the save, leading into the night’s main event.

Main Event

‘Hangman’ Adam Page & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) def. La Facción Ingobernable (Rush, Dralistico & The Beast Mortos)
High-energy chaos from bell to bell. The champ connected with a Buckshot Lariat on Dralistico while JetSpeed kept Rush and Mortos at bay, giving the babyfaces the statement win in Roanoke.

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

This week’s Collision was a masterclass in balancing title prestige with fan-favorite chaos. Fletcher’s win over Ishii wasn’t just a notch in his belt — it was a message to New Japan ahead of Forbidden Door. Shibata’s clean win over Caster adds serious intrigue to AEW’s technical wrestling scene, while Hangman Page continues to shine as a fighting champion. AEW seems to be loading the deck for a monster card in the coming weeks, and if this momentum holds, Roanoke might be remembered as a key turning point.
