AEW Dynamite Preview - November 05, 2025: Hangman in Action, Moné & Athena Unite, and Blood & Guts Advantage Battles Begin in Texas

AEW rolls into Houston, Texas tonight for a loaded episode of AEW Dynamite, just one week away from Blood & Guts and two weeks out from Full Gear. The stakes couldn’t be higher — championship implications, grudges, and faction warfare are all set to explode live from the Bayou Music Center.

How to Watch AEW Dynamite Tonight

  • 📺 TV: TBS
  • 💻 Streaming: HBO Max
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT
  • 📍 Location: Bayou Music Center — Houston, TX

Announced AEW Dynamite Card

  • Hangman Adam Page, Hook & Eddie Kingston vs. The Opps
  • Mercedes Moné & Athena vs. Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale (Women’s Tag Tournament Quarterfinal)
  • Orange Cassidy vs. Claudio Castagnoli (Men’s Blood & Guts Advantage Match 1)
  • Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia (Men’s Blood & Guts Advantage Match 2)
  • Queen Aminata vs. Megan Bayne (Women’s Blood & Guts Advantage Match 1)

Hangman, Hook & Kingston vs. The Opps

After last week’s wild Halloween edition that saw Hangman Adam Page disguise himself as Tony Schiavone to outsmart The Opps, the AEW World Champion steps back into the ring as himself — and he’s bringing backup.

Hangman teams with Hook and Eddie Kingston to take on the reigning AEW World Trios Champions, The Opps.

But while The Opps are a unified and dangerous trio, Hangman’s team is anything but — three combustible personalities thrown together with little chemistry. With Samoa Joe lurking after earning his world title rematch for Full Gear, the champion must survive tonight’s battle before even thinking about defending his gold.

Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament: Mercedes Moné & Athena vs. Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale

In a blockbuster pairing, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and ROH Women’s Champion Athena join forces for the first time in the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament.

They’ll face Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, collectively known as the Babes of Wrath, in a highly anticipated quarterfinal matchup.

Moné and Athena made waves last week by targeting Kris Statlander, Moné’s upcoming Full Gear opponent, before Nightingale and Cameron ran out for the save. With Moné juggling championship defenses, a tag tournament, and Blood & Guts next week, fans are wondering: is the CEO spreading herself too thin?

Blood & Guts Advantage Battles Begin

The countdown to Blood & Guts continues tonight with multiple advantage matches, as both the men’s and women’s teams fight for the right to control the pace inside AEW’s most brutal cage.

  • Orange Cassidy (The Conglomeration) vs. Claudio Castagnoli (Death Riders)Men’s Advantage Match 1
  • Darby Allin vs. Daniel GarciaMen’s Advantage Match 2
  • Queen Aminata vs. Megan BayneWomen’s Advantage Match 1

If either side splits their first two matches, the deciding bouts will take place Friday on AEW Collision. Expect pure chaos as the war for momentum ahead of Blood & Guts begins in Houston.

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

AEW’s Houston stop is the calm before the storm — if you can call this “calm.” With Blood & Guts just days away and Full Gear fast approaching, every storyline feels like it’s colliding at once. Hangman’s uneasy alliance with Kingston and Hook could either spark an instant classic or implode before the bell rings.

Meanwhile, Mercedes Moné continues to operate at an insane pace, balancing title defenses and tag aspirations while seemingly carrying AEW’s women’s division on her shoulders. Insiders say AEW management views Moné’s team with Athena as a “super pairing” designed to showcase cross-brand prestige. Expect fireworks, blood, and perhaps a shocking turn as Blood & Guts looms large.
