🩸 Historic First: Women’s Blood & Guts Match

Twelve women will etch their names in history tonight as AEW’s first-ever Women’s Blood & Guts match unfolds — and for the first time, it’s a 6-on-6 configuration.

Team Moné: Mercedes Moné, Thekla, Skye Blue, Julia Hart, Megan Bayne, and Marina Shafir
Team Statlander: Kris Statlander, Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, Mina Shirakawa, and Harley Cameron

The road to this match has been months in the making — with alliances forming, breaking, and reforming across summer tag wars that helped reshape AEW’s women’s division. After Queen Aminata’s unfortunate injury, Mina Shirakawa stepped in, bringing her Stardom flair to the mix.

Last week on Collision, Thekla gave her team a crucial advantage, defeating Harley Cameron to ensure the heel side enters first — giving Moné’s team the numbers edge early.

For Mercedes Moné, this marks unfamiliar territory. The world-traveling TBS Champion, currently holding twelve belts across the globe, may dominate the rankings and the spotlight, but she’s never been tested inside a cage built for carnage. Meanwhile, her rival and Full Gear opponent, AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander, thrives in this environment — her 2024 Chicago Street Fight with Willow Nightingale remains one of AEW’s bloodiest modern classics.

However, old wounds between Statlander and Willow still linger. The question tonight isn’t just who bleeds more — it’s who breaks first.

🔥 Falls Count Anywhere: Hangman Page vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

The AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page has been hunting vengeance ever since The Opps blindsided him and Hook. Last week, Hobbs sent the champ crashing through a table and forced Hook to tap to a torturous rack. Now, Page is ready to return the favor in a Falls Count Anywhere brawl that could spill from the ring to the parking lot.

No titles on the line — just pure animosity. Hobbs and Page haven’t gone one-on-one since 2021, but both are at their most dangerous heading into Full Gear. Expect chaos, broken furniture, and a few fans getting up-close views of flying bodies.

⚔️ Men’s Blood & Guts: Death Riders vs. The Conglomeration (and Friends)

The night’s main event will see Jon Moxley and Darby Allin settle their violent feud once and for all.

The Death Riders: Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, and Pac
The Conglomeration & Friends: Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, and Mark Briscoe

Moxley’s been unhinged since his I Quit loss at WrestleDream, resorting to cheap shots, interference, and referee assaults. But Allin’s revenge tour has been just as relentless — last week he popped out from under the ring to cost Moxley’s crew their momentum, securing his team the entry advantage.

While The Conglomeration has momentum, The Death Riders bring experience — every member has survived Blood & Guts before. And with Don Callis reportedly dangling an offer for backup in exchange for a little “extra damage” to Mark Briscoe, who knows what tonight might bring.

Tonight isn’t about who wins — it’s about who survives.

💬 Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

AEW is pulling out all the stops tonight — two massive cage matches, a historic first for the women’s division, and a world champion fighting through chaos on his road to Full Gear. The Blood & Guts concept has always represented AEW’s rawest essence — violent storytelling and real emotion wrapped in steel and sweat. But this year, the spotlight belongs to the women.

If Mercedes Moné can lead her team through the brutality and walk out unscathed, she’ll prove she’s more than a belt collector — she’s a true AEW gladiator. But if Kris Statlander bleeds and still stands tall, AEW’s women’s division may never be the same again.

Either way, Greensboro is about to live up to its legacy — the war zone of wrestling history.
