AEW is rolling into San Antonio, Texas, tonight for a stacked edition of AEW Dynamite that promises major title implications, a long-awaited championship reveal, and plenty of fallout from WrestleDream. The road to Full Gear officially begins—and the night is absolutely loaded.

How to Watch AEW Dynamite (Oct. 22, 2025)

📍 Location: Boeing Center at TechPort – San Antonio, TX
🕗 Time: 8 p.m. EST / 7 p.m. CST
📺 TV: TBS

AEW Dynamite Card (Announced):

  • Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Bandido – AEW Unified Championship
  • The Opps (c) vs. The Hurt Syndicate – AEW World Trios Championship
  • Women’s World Tag Team Championship Bracket Reveal
  • “12 Belts” Mercedes Moné Celebration

AEW Unified Championship: Okada (c) vs. Bandido

After stunning the world by pinning Kazuchika Okada during tag action at WrestleDream, Bandido has earned the biggest singles opportunity of his AEW career. He’ll challenge Okada for the AEW Unified Championship live tonight.

This marks only the third time ever that Okada has been pinned in AEW—a feat that’s sent shockwaves through the locker room. But Bandido’s challenge won’t come easy. Per the rules inherited from the now-defunct Continental Championship, seconds are barred from ringside and no interference will be tolerated.

Still, Okada has other distractions. His uneasy alliance with fellow Don Callis Family member Konosuke Takeshita, who also happens to be the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, continues to cause tension. If Okada isn’t locked in, Bandido could walk out of San Antonio holding three belts across AEW and ROH.

AEW World Trios Championship: The Opps (c) vs. The Hurt Syndicate

Fresh off their tornado trios victory at WrestleDream, The Hurt Syndicate are cashing in their momentum for a shot at The Opps and the AEW World Trios Championships.

For Samoa Joe, this match comes at a critical time. After falling short in his AEW World Title clash with “Hangman” Adam Page, Joe is still reeling from both the loss and the shocking post-match assault by Page himself.

Now, The Opps have to defend their gold while knowing that Page—and a few other enemies—may be lurking nearby. Can Joe and company keep their composure, or will The Hurt Syndicate bulldoze their way to trios dominance?

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Bracket Reveal

After more than a year of anticipation, AEW will finally unveil the official tournament bracket for the brand-new Women’s World Tag Team Championships.

Several teams are rumored to be part of the tournament, including:

  • TayJay (Tay Melo & Anna Jay)
  • Top Gods (Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford)
  • Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron
  • And the unlikely duo of “Timeless” Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa, both of whom came up short at WrestleDream but remain favorites to win it all.

The reveal could also include surprise pairings or debuts, making this one of the most anticipated announcements of the year for AEW’s women’s division.

Celebration of “12 Belts” Mercedes Moné

Tony Khan has confirmed a special in-ring celebration for Mercedes Moné, now being dubbed “Ultimo Moné.” Over the weekend, she captured her 11th and 12th championships and officially became the longest-reigning TBS Champion in AEW history. Expect fireworks—and probably some new challengers—during this milestone moment.

Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

AEW’s post-WrestleDream momentum feels electric right now. With new champions emerging, the women’s tag division finally launching, and Okada facing one of AEW’s most dynamic challengers, Dynamite in San Antonio could easily set the tone for Full Gear. Expect surprises, storyline shake-ups, and plenty of crowd heat as the next chapter unfolds.
