AEW Dynamite Preview - October 29, 2025: High Stakes & the Don Callis Family Showdown

AEW is turning up the tricks and the treats tonight as Fright Night Dynamite takes over the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. Halloween chaos collides with championship implications across a loaded card — but behind the spooky fun lies serious tension brewing within one of AEW’s most powerful factions.

📺 How to Watch AEW Dynamite (Oct. 29, 2025)

  • TV: TBS
  • Streaming: HBO Max
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT
  • Location: Bert Ogden Arena — Edinburg, TX

AEW Dynamite “Fright Night” Card

  • Don Callis Family Summit
  • Jamie Hayter & Queen Aminata vs. Julia Hart & Skye Blue (Women’s Tag Title Tournament Quarterfinal)
  • Bobby Lashley vs. Ricochet vs. Samoa Joe vs. Hook (Fright Night 4-Way — Winner faces Hangman Page at Full Gear)
  • FTR vs. Young Bucks vs. JetSpeed vs. Jurassic Express (Fright Night 4-Way — Tag Title Contenders)
  • Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy vs. Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta (Trick or Treat Tornado Tag Match)
  • Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly

🧠 Don Callis Family Summit: The Rainmaker vs. The Alpha

The uneasy alliance between AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita has hit a boiling point. Despite Don Callis’ desperate attempts to restore order, the tension inside the Don Callis Family has evolved into open hostility.

Tonight, Callis will host a “family summit” in hopes of saving his empire from implosion. But with Okada’s pride and Takeshita’s aggression both at max levels, one wrong word could blow this faction apart.

Will Callis keep his family together… or will this Halloween-themed episode mark the beginning of a full-on civil war within one of AEW’s top power groups?

👑 Women’s World Tag Team Tournament Begins

The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament officially kicks off with a huge quarterfinal match: Jamie Hayter & Queen Aminata vs. The Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue).

Hayter and Aminata earned the right to choose their opponents after last week’s 4-Way Tag victory — and they chose their long-time rivals in the Triangle of Madness. The bad blood between these two teams runs deep, and tonight they’ll look to settle it under the orange glow of AEW’s Halloween lights.

Can the Sisters of Sin use their eerie chemistry to advance, or will Hayter and Aminata gain redemption and momentum in the tournament?

💀 The Death Riders Bring the Carnage

Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a little violence — and that’s where the Death Riders come in.

Jon Moxley will face Kyle O’Reilly in a rematch from last week, after Moxley’s controversial disqualification for punching the referee rather than escaping O’Reilly’s hold. The Death Rider has been showing an increasingly ruthless streak, and many believe he’s starting to lose control without his teammates at ringside.

Elsewhere, former rivals turned uneasy partners Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta will represent the Death Riders in a “Trick or Treat” Tornado Tag Match against Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy. With Allin and Cassidy vowing to dismantle the Death Riders one match at a time, this bout could turn into a Halloween brawl worthy of its name.

🎃 Fright Night 4-Way Fight #1: AEW Men’s World Title Opportunity

Four monsters. One chance at gold.

Bobby Lashley, Ricochet, Samoa Joe, and Hook will collide in a Fright Night 4-Way Fight with the winner earning an AEW Men’s World Championship match against Hangman Adam Page at Full Gear.

Each competitor enters with something to prove — Hook hasn’t been in the world title picture since Joe’s reign, Ricochet is chasing his first shot at the top, and Lashley has been hunting for a breakout AEW moment. Joe, meanwhile, still has unfinished business with Hangman after being blindsided by The Opps at WrestleDream.

This one’s going to be heavy-hitting, fast, and chaotic — a fitting Halloween horror show for a Full Gear ticket.

💥 Fright Night 4-Way Fight #2: AEW Tag Team Title Contenders

In another high-stakes brawl, FTR, The Young Bucks, Jurassic Express, and JetSpeed will face off for a shot at Brodido’s AEW World Tag Team Titles at Full Gear.

Each team knows what gold tastes like — except JetSpeed, who are determined to shock the world. Expect a mix of elite storytelling, innovation, and high-speed chaos as four of AEW’s best teams vie for their chance to headline the biggest stage of the fall.

Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

AEW is leaning all the way into Halloween chaos — and it’s working. Fright Night Dynamite feels like the perfect blend of fun and high stakes, with the Don Callis Family drama giving the night real emotional weight.

But underneath the costumes and cobwebs, this episode is crucial for AEW’s momentum heading into Full Gear. The company needs to hit on both fronts: deliver a wild, entertaining show and push stories forward in a meaningful way.

If AEW sticks the landing, Fright Night Dynamite could end up being one of the most memorable themed episodes of the year — both for the tricks and the titles.
