AEW Dynamite Results - August 27, 2025: Fallout From Forbidden Door Rocks Philly

August 27, 2025 | 2300 Arena, Philadelphia, PA

AEW Dynamite rolled into the legendary 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, and the fallout from Forbidden Door brought chaos, big challenges, and one wild main event. Here’s everything that went down, in order:

FTR Open the Show – CNC Challenge Laid Down

The night opened with FTR and Stokely Hathaway storming to the ring, furious after their loss at Forbidden Door. Dax Harwood ripped into referee Paul Turner, demanding he reverse the decision, only for Turner to stand firm. Things broke down when Christian Cage blindsided Dax with a Killswitch, leading to a chaotic brawl. Adam Copeland then grabbed the mic and officially laid out the challenge: at All Out in Toronto, CNC vs. FTR.

Jon Moxley vs. Daniel Garcia

Garcia fought with fire, even locking Mox into the Dragontamer, but the former World Champion proved too resourceful. After a brutal DDT on the steps and a tight cradle inside the ring, Moxley scored the pinfall victory.

Winner: Jon Moxley

Post-match, Wheeler Yuta declared on Mox’s behalf that the answer to Darby Allin’s All Out challenge was “no.” The tension between Garcia and Mox also continued to simmer.

HOOK Returns, Gets Revenge on Wheeler Yuta

Yuta grabbed the mic to run down Philly, but the HOOK signal lit up the arena. The FTW Legend stormed the ring and choked Yuta out cold with Redrum, making his long-awaited return after being sidelined with a concussion. The Philly crowd erupted, chanting his name.

Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron

The women’s tag bout turned into a showcase for Statlander and Cameron. After Ford and Bayne tried double-teaming, Statlander countered into a crucifix armbar. Ford tapped out, giving Kris and Harley the win.

Winners: Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron

Post-match, Megan Bayne teased more conflict, but Willow Nightingale came out to back up Statlander, setting the stage for future confrontations.

Mercedes Moné’s “9-Belt Celebration”

Mercedes Moné bragged about surpassing legends and compared herself to Ultimo Dragon, declaring herself “9-Belt Moné.” Renee Paquette questioned whether Alex Windsor had forced her to tap at Forbidden Door, which Moné vehemently denied. The champ warned Windsor she’d end up in the hospital if she tried again.

All-Star 8-Man Tag Match

Bandido, Brody King, Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight vs. The Don Callis Family (Hechicero, Josh Alexander, Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita)

This high-octane bout broke down into chaos, but in the end, Josh Alexander rolled up Speedball Mike Bailey for the win, thanks to interference by the Family.

Winners: Don Callis Family

Hangman Page Addresses Forbidden Door, Confronted by Don Callis

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page thanked Will Ospreay and vowed to give him a title shot when he returns. He also had strong words for MJF, promising to break him down before their next clash.

Don Callis interrupted, surrounding the champ with his Family. Just as the numbers overwhelmed Page, Kenny Omega’s music hit. Omega charged in, helping Hangman and JetSpeed clear the ring with a combination V-Trigger and Buckshot Lariat. Page and Omega embraced, teasing a dangerous reunion against Callis’ crew.

AEW World Trios Championship

The Opps (Samoa Joe, Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs) (c) vs. Ricochet & Gates of Agony

The champs dominated in a hard-hitting affair. After chaos spilled everywhere, Joe cinched in the Coquina Clutch on Ricochet for the submission win.

Winners and STILL AEW World Trios Champions: The Opps

Post-match, the Hurt Syndicate hit the ring to brawl with Gates of Agony, leaving Ricochet laid out.

Main Event: Falls Count Anywhere Match

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Darby Allin

This was pure carnage. Claudio swung Darby into railings, launched him into a shopping cart, and even gorilla-pressed him through the announce table. Darby kept fighting, countering with a Coffin Drop off a pole and finally sending Claudio crashing through a table. After a brutal war, Darby scored the pinfall victory.

Winner: Darby Allin

Post-match, the Death Riders attacked, leaving Darby battered. The show closed with Allin standing tall despite the beating, glaring back as the Death Riders retreated.

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

AEW packed this Dynamite with fallout that sets the tone for All Out. HOOK’s return was electric, instantly injecting fire into the Death Riders feud. The CNC vs. FTR challenge feels like a generational clash, while Hangman and Omega’s reunion teaser got one of the loudest reactions of the night. Darby’s main event performance, despite the post-match beatdown, cements him as one of AEW’s most resilient stars. Philadelphia got the chaos it craved, and AEW now has serious momentum rolling into Toronto.
