Chicago was on fire once again as AEW Dynamite wrapped up its residency at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom with a brutal, emotional, and chaotic night of wrestling. With Hangman Page defending the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley in a no-interference grudge match, and Athena delivering a shocking pin over Toni Storm, the night brought major implications for the AEW title picture—especially with MJF lurking in the shadows.

Here’s everything that went down on this wild ride of a Wednesday night:

🏆 AEW World Title Match: Hangman Adam Page def. Jon Moxley

No entourage. No distractions. Just two violent men throwing everything they had at each other for the richest prize in AEW. The match was pure chaos: suplexes, piledrivers on steel steps, table spots, and apron destruction. Despite a mid-match ambush by Marina Shafir (who snuck in with the title belt while Death Riders caused a distraction), Hangman kicked out in dramatic fashion.

Darby Allin’s death-defying balcony dive onto Claudio, Yuta, and Shafir neutralized the interference. That allowed Hangman to hit a Buckshot Lariat, a Deadeye, and then one more Buckshot to finally put Mox down for the count.

💥 Young Bucks def. The Outrunners (Tag Title Eliminator Quarterfinal)

Despite a rough start, the Bucks leaned into dirty tricks—low blows and TK Drivers—to escape an impressive showing by the charismatic Outrunners. Post-match, Kazuchika Okada joined in the celebration... until Swerve Strickland appeared, leading to a beatdown that left The Elite laid out.

🎯 Athena & Billie Starkz def. Toni Storm & Alex Windsor

In a surprise upset, ROH Women's Champion Athena pinned AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm with an O-Face. Billie Starkz and Athena looked like a polished unit, while Storm and Windsor’s synchronized slow-dancing proved to be more flair than fight.

🗣 Christian Cage Disowns The Patriarchy... and Gets Conchairto’d

Christian returned with a brutally honest promo, admitting his failings and disowning Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian. They responded in kind—by assaulting him with a Conchairto and leaving the "asshole" of AEW unconscious on the ramp.

🔥 Mark Briscoe def. Ricochet

Briscoe fought with raw emotion and ruthless intensity, battling off Ricochet and the Gates of Agony with help from Brodido. After delivering a Jay Driller for the win, Briscoe issued a bone-chilling warning to MJF: “I might kill you in cold blood.” MJF attacked from behind—only to retreat when Hangman Page arrived.

💔 MJF Is Out of The Hurt Syndicate

Shelton Benjamin served MJF a dose of humiliation, exposing his fake Rolex and officially kicking him out of the faction. MVP’s disgust over MJF’s antics was enough to exile him, leaving MJF visibly rattled—and more dangerous than ever.

👊 FTR Confront The Bucks Backstage

FTR and The Bucks crossed paths backstage, reigniting their rivalry. Stokely Hathaway took the opportunity to mock the Jacksons, calling them relics of AEW’s past.

💬 Hangman Calls MJF a Coward

Backstage, MJF tried to manipulate Hangman into granting him a title shot. Hangman wasn’t buying it, calling out MJF’s cowardice and mocking the absence of The Hurt Syndicate. Their war is only just beginning.

🎙 Willow Nightingale vs Thekla Confirmed for Collision

Willow revealed that Tony Khan made her match with Thekla official for Thursday’s special edition of Collision. She might not know geometry, but she’s ready to throw down.

🔥 MainEvent.News | Backstage Take:

"Hangman vs. Mox was a war soaked in sweat, blood, and legacy—a throwback to the kind of main events that define careers. But don’t sleep on Athena’s pin over Toni Storm. That wasn’t a fluke—it was a message. Meanwhile, MJF is a lone wolf again, and that makes him even more unhinged. AEW is simmering with dangerous ambition right now, and Collision could be the boiling point."
