AEW Dynamite Results - November 05, 2025: The Opps Retain, Mercedes Moné Stunned, & Hangman Page Crashes Through a Table in Chaos
AEW rolled into Houston with one week until Blood & Guts and two before Full Gear, and things exploded almost immediately. “Hangman” Adam Page stormed the arena, Mercedes Moné got shocked in tournament action, and Samoa Joe proved he’s as dangerous as ever — both in the ring and in mind games.
Opening Segment: Samoa Joe Targets Tony Schiavone, Hangman Returns
The show opened with Samoa Joe interrupting Tony Schiavone’s in-ring announcement about a new AEW championship. Backed by The Opps (Will Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata), Joe accused Tony of being part of last week’s Hangman disguise prank.
Just as Joe cornered him, “Hangman” Adam Page hit the ring to a thunderous ovation! Security swarmed, and soon Eddie Kingston (on crutches) and HOOK joined the fight. Hook got on the mic and challenged The Opps to defend their AEW World Trios Championships later that night. Joe accepted — and the Houston crowd erupted.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Orange Cassidy – Blood & Guts Advantage Match #1
This match was pure chaos from the bell — literally, as Cassidy attacked Claudio before it rang. The Swiss powerhouse swung, tossed, and suplexed Orange around like a rag doll, but the resilient “Freshly Squeezed” refused to quit.
Cassidy hit multiple DDTs and even countered a Swiss Death into an Orange Punch mid-air, nearly shocking the world. But Claudio recovered, countered one final punch, and drilled Cassidy with a brutal Swiss Death uppercut for the pin.
Winner: Claudio Castagnoli (Death Riders take 1-0 lead in Blood & Guts Advantage Series)
Backstage: Mark Briscoe Accepts Don Callis’ Deal
Renee Paquette interviewed Mark Briscoe, Don Callis, and Kyle Fletcher about Briscoe’s TNT Title rematch proposal. Briscoe demanded a No Disqualification stipulation, which Callis agreed to — but only if Briscoe would join the Don Callis Family if he loses. Briscoe shook on it, declaring, “It’s only a deal with the devil if I lose — and dammit, I ain’t losing!”
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament – First Round:
Athena & Mercedes Moné vs. Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale)
In a surprising result, Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale scored the biggest win of their AEW careers. The “Babes” weathered early domination from the decorated champions, using teamwork and power to turn the tide.
A chaotic closing stretch saw Billie Starkz try to hand Athena her ROH belt, only for Kris Statlander to interfere. Amid the distraction, Cameron capitalized, hitting her signature finisher to score a shocking victory.
Winners: Babes of Wrath (advance to semifinals)
Segment: AEW National Championship Announced
Tony Schiavone revealed a Casino Gauntlet Match to crown the first AEW National Champion, reviving a title lineage unseen on TBS in nearly 40 years.
The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) interrupted, announcing their entry and claiming, “When we fight each other, the Syndicate still wins.”
Then Ricochet and The Demand (Kaun & Liona) crashed the segment, mocking their age and promising to “meet the Demand” at Full Gear. MVP fired back, “You talk — we hurt people. Run it!” Expect violence soon.
Daniel Garcia vs. Darby Allin – Blood & Guts Advantage Match #2
This one was as gritty as it gets. Garcia controlled much of the action with vicious submissions and strikes, but Darby Allin fought from underneath — even after Garcia trapped his head between the steel steps and the ring post.
After surviving outside interference from PAC, Darby locked in the Scorpion Deathlock in a nod to Sting and made Garcia tap out to tie the series 1–1.
Post-match, chaos erupted: PAC attacked Allin, Orange Cassidy made the save, and then Wheeler YUTA and Roderick Strong joined the brawl. Jon Moxley attacked Kyle O’Reilly on the outside, further escalating the Death Riders vs. Conglomeration war ahead of Blood & Guts.
Winner: Darby Allin (ties series 1–1; tiebreaker on Collision)
FTR Call Out Brodido – Chaos Ensues
FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) called out Brodido after being named #1 contenders but got silence instead. When Renee Paquette checked their locker room, Stokely Hathaway refused to open the door — until Brody King literally punched through it.
Back in the ring, Dax mocked Bandido’s grandmother in the front row, calling her “the Day of the Dead personified.” Grandma slapped him across the face before Gravity jumped the barricade to defend her family. FTR tried to spike piledrive Gravity — but Brodido stormed the ring just in time for the save.
Segment Result: Grandma Bandido wins the night.
Megan Bayne vs. Mina Shirakawa – Women’s Blood & Guts Advantage Match #1
A physical, emotional fight between two women with something to prove. Mina Shirakawa targeted Bayne’s leg and hit a vicious apron suplex, but the “Megasus” powered through.
As Shirakawa went for the top-rope Sling Blade, Marina Shafir appeared from the crowd to choke out Toni Storm at commentary. The distraction cost Mina, and Bayne crushed her with a Liger Bomb for the win.
Winner: Megan Bayne (Team Bayne goes up 1–0 in the Blood & Guts Advantage Series)
Post-match chaos saw Triangle of Madness, Jamie Hayter, and Babes of Wrath all brawl until Mercedes Moné teased joining in — only to get blindsided by Kris Statlander, who left everyone laid out.
Main Event – AEW World Trios Championship:
Hangman Adam Page, Eddie Kingston & HOOK vs. The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata)
This hard-hitting brawl delivered from bell to bell. Hangman Page went straight for Samoa Joe, while HOOK showcased resilience against Powerhouse Hobbs. Eddie Kingston, visibly injured, still traded bombs with Joe.
Late in the match, Hobbs pounced Page halfway up the ramp, then delivered a World’s Strongest Slam off the stage through a table, leaving Hangman destroyed. Inside the ring, Hook nearly pulled off a miracle, but Hobbs countered Redrum into a devastating La Atlántida submission, forcing the tap.
Winners: The Opps (retain AEW World Trios Championships)
As medics attended to Page, Joe smirked over his fallen rival — his message sent loud and clear before Blood & Guts.

Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
AEW Dynamite was pure storytelling chaos from start to finish. Backstage chatter confirms that Hangman Page vs. Samoa Joe is being prepped for Full Gear’s main event, with Page’s table bump designed to sell his toughness heading into the PPV.
Mercedes Moné’s shocking loss was planned to humanize her “CEO” character and set up Statlander’s revenge arc for Blood & Guts. Meanwhile, the announcement of the AEW National Championship adds a nostalgic yet fresh twist to the roster’s mid-card scene — a move insiders say was pushed by Tony Khan personally to “recapture the glory of classic TBS wrestling.”
