AEW Dynamite Results - October 22, 2025: The WrestleDream Fallout Shakes AEW to Its Core

Live from the Boeing Center at TechPort in San Antonio, Texas

AEW Dynamite wasted no time diving into the chaos left behind by WrestleDream 2025. San Antonio was electric as rivalries boiled over, new challenges emerged, and champions reasserted dominance across the board. From Samoa Joe’s venomous words to a shocking Women’s Division showdown, tonight’s episode delivered in-ring fire and emotional fallout.

Opening Moments

Excalibur welcomed fans to the broadcast before AEW aired a hard-hitting recap of WrestleDream highlights.

Backstage, cameras caught “Hangman” Adam Page furiously shouting in the trainer’s room — vowing to “ruin Samoa Joe’s goddamn life.” The message was clear: this war is only beginning.

AEW World Trios Championship

The Opps (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs) (c) vs. The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, MVP & Shelton Benjamin)
Winners: The Opps (Submission – Coquina Clutch by Joe on MVP)

The bout opened with Shibata and Benjamin exchanging grappling holds and reversals until Benjamin landed a crushing knee. Lashley and Hobbs then squared off in a powerhouse standoff that had the San Antonio crowd roaring — until Samoa Joe tagged himself in and shifted the tempo.

A wild brawl broke loose: Lashley manhandled Hobbs, MVP and Shibata traded boots, and Joe cleaned house before choking MVP out cold with the Coquina Clutch for the win.

Post-Match: Ricochet’s interference backfired, and The Hurt Syndicate stormed after him as The Opps stood tall.

In-Ring Promo:
Samoa Joe told Tony Schiavone that “as long as Hangman Page calls himself a champion, I’ll be there to remind him he’s not the man he thinks he is.”
He taunted the Texas crowd, calling Page “cowboy trash” before declaring:

“We are The Opps — we stand in opposition to everybody, and we’re never lacking.”

Backstage Segment – Mercedes Moné Arrives

Mercedes Moné pulled up in a luxury car, flanked by assistants each holding one of her championship belts. The “CEO” was ready for her 12-Belt celebration later tonight.

Kris Statlander Backstage Interview

Kris Statlander told Renee Paquette that she’s proud of beating Toni Storm twice but has her sights set on Mercedes Moné.

“I don’t need a celebration — I need a fight. Mercedes, enjoy your moment, because next week, it’s mine.”

Darby Allin Addresses the Fans

Carrying the same AEW flag he climbed Mount Everest with, Darby Allin cut an emotional promo.
He said people told him climbing Everest could cost him his life and career, but he did it to prove his devotion to AEW.

“I’ll go places no one else will. I’ll die for this company before I quit.”
Allin warned the Death Riders: “As long as you’re breathing, I’m coming for you.”

Women’s Four-Way Tag – Tournament Qualifier

Jamie Hayter & Queen Aminata vs. Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale vs. Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. The Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue)
Winners: Jamie Hayter & Queen Aminata (via Hayterade on Penelope Ford)

Fast-paced chaos ruled this bout as each team fought for the right to pick their first-round opponents in the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Tournament.
Hayter dominated the final sequence, cracking Ford with the Hayterade lariat for the decisive pin.

Post-Match:
Hayter grabbed the mic and immediately declared:

“We’re not waiting — first round, we want the Sisters of Sin!

Backstage – The Young Bucks Confront Tony Khan

Nick and Matt Jackson demanded a “money match.” Tony Khan countered by booking a $400,000 Four-on-Four All-Star Match next week in San Antonio:
Jurassic Express & JetSpeed vs. The Young Bucks & FTR.
Fans erupted at the announcement.

Mercedes Moné’s “12-Belts” Celebration Turns to Chaos

Renee Paquette introduced “Twelve Belts Moné,” but Harley Cameron (as “Mini Moné”) comically tried to steal the spotlight first. The real Mercedes stormed the ring, furious.

She berated the fans as “stupid marks” and called Harley “pathetic.” But before Moné could finish her tirade, Kris Statlander appeared and dropped her with a brutal electric-chair facebuster through a table — smashing Mercedes into her own cake!

Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly

Winner: Kyle O’Reilly (by Disqualification)

A stiff technical war between two of AEW’s most ruthless strikers.
O’Reilly targeted Moxley’s arm, but Mox responded with savage elbows. As O’Reilly locked in an ankle hold, Moxley decked referee Paul Turner, forcing the DQ.

Post-Match: The Death Riders and The Conglomeration brawled at ringside as Moxley and Marina Shafir slipped through the crowd.

Six-Man Tag Main Event

The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia & Wheeler YUTA) vs. Roderick Strong & The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe & Orange Cassidy)
Winners: Roderick Strong & The Conglomeration (via Jay Driller by Briscoe on YUTA)

The match delivered chaos from bell to bell. Cassidy’s hot tag sequence wowed the crowd before Mark Briscoe unleashed a fiery final stretch — hitting a Jay Driller for the win.

Post-Match:
PAC blindsided Briscoe until Tomohiro Ishii stormed in for the save. The melee grew with Marina Shafir’s low-blow and Darby Allin’s shocking run-in wielding Sting’s bat! The crowd roared as Allin cracked Castagnoli in the knees before Orange Cassidy landed an Orange Punch to close the show.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Tournament Bracket Revealed

An eight-team field was officially announced, setting the stage for new champions to be crowned in the coming weeks.

Backstage, Mina Shirakawa promised victory with Toni Storm as the Timeless Love Bombs, while Thekla interrupted and challenged her to a match on Collision.

Main Event – AEW Unified Championship

Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Bandido
Winner: Kazuchika Okada (via Rainmaker Pinfall)

A brilliant blend of styles capped off Dynamite. Bandido’s agility kept Okada off balance early, hitting a 21-Plex and even a Rainmaker of his own, but the champion weathered every storm.

Okada countered a second 21-Plex attempt into a devastating Rainmaker Lariat to retain the title.

Post-Match:
The Callis Family celebrated as Konosuke Takeshita appeared on the stage holding the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship — teasing another power struggle within Don Callis’ empire.

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

AEW continues its incredible momentum post-WrestleDream. Samoa Joe’s dominance and verbal venom set the tone for a fiery road to Full Gear, while Okada remains untouchable atop AEW’s mountain. The women’s division stole headlines with Statlander’s explosive interruption, and the Trios scene feels more dangerous than ever. With the Opps ruling strong, tag brackets heating up, and AEW’s roster hungrier than ever — this is a company operating at full throttle.
