AEW Dynamite Results - September 03, 2025: Darby’s Body Bag Kidnapping, and Omega Destroyed by Fletcher

AEW Dynamite was pure chaos from start to finish — a night of shocking returns, emotional tributes, and brutal beatdowns that blurred the line between wrestling and anarchy. From Darby Allin stuffing Gabe Kidd in a body bag to Riho’s surprise comeback, Mark Briscoe’s heartfelt fight, and Kyle Fletcher leaving Kenny Omega in ruins, Chicago got a show that will be remembered for its violence, emotion, and unpredictability. A ton of storyline build to All Out and not a ton of wrestling, but still a solid show overall.

Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd (Wild Brawl)
The night opened with Gabe Kidd cutting a promo on Darby Allin, mocking his “rafters act.” But before Kidd could finish, Darby ambushed him, sparking an all-out brawl.
The fight spilled everywhere — Darby bit Kidd on the turnbuckle, hit a Coffin Drop to the floor, and later wielded his tack-studded skateboard. Wheeler YUTA tried to interfere but got dropped. Just as the chaos peaked, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Marina Shafir surrounded the ring. HOOK, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Willow Nightingale evened the odds.
The fight escalated backstage, where Kidd nearly smashed Darby with a claw hammer. Instead, Allin blinded him with powder, choked him with a rag, zipped him into a body bag, and literally drove him out of the arena.

AEW TBS Championship
Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Alex Windsor
This was a hard-hitting, back-and-forth contest with Windsor nearly shocking the world. Windsor punished Moné with Sharpshooters, a Liger Bomb, and even had her tapping outside the ring. But Mercedes’ resilience proved too much. After a series of nearfalls, Moné reversed into a backslide for the pin.
Winner: Mercedes Moné (retains TBS Championship).
Post-match, Windsor offered a handshake. Moné disrespected her with a “too slow” taunt, then decked her with the title. As Mercedes locked in the Statement Maker, Riho made her shocking return, diving onto Moné and standing tall with the TBS title in hand.

Main Event – 8-Man Tag Team Match
Hangman Page, JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Speedball Mike Bailey), & Kenny Omega vs. Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander & Kyle Fletcher) & The Young Bucks
This match was insane from bell to bell — high spots, wild brawls, and nonstop chaos. Knight and Bailey showed heart, Page was a powerhouse, and Omega lit up the arena with V-Triggers. But interference and numbers caught up.
After Superkick Parties, Alexander suplexes, and Fletcher’s aggression, the match ended with Fletcher drilling Kevin Knight with a brutal brainbuster.
Winners: Don Callis Family & The Young Bucks.
Post-Match: The beatdown continued. Omega was put through a table by Fletcher’s sheer-drop brainbuster, while Page was left motionless. The Callis Family stood tall to close Dynamite.

🎙️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
This Dynamite felt less like a wrestling show and more like a street riot with a ring attached. Darby Allin kidnapping Gabe Kidd in a body bag is the kind of wild imagery AEW thrives on. Mercedes Moné is solidifying her reign as TBS Champion, but Riho’s return instantly reignites the division.
Briscoe’s emotional tribute to Jay while setting up his Collision match with Takeshita struck the perfect balance of heart and grit. Meanwhile, the main event hammered home what AEW wants fans to feel — chaos, unpredictability, and danger. Fletcher laying waste to Omega and Page sets the stage for one of AEW’s most heated fall programs.
This was not just Dynamite. It was AEW flexing its unpredictability, and if this momentum carries forward, All Out season could be explosive.
