AEW and NJPW’s Forbidden Door London lived up to its name as the gateway to chaos, surprises, and unforgettable moments inside the O2 Arena. With championships on the line, legends returning, factions growing stronger, and a Steel Cage war that left bodies scattered everywhere, the event delivered the kind of spectacle fans will be talking about for years. From Wardlow’s shocking comeback to Hangman Page’s bloody title defense and Okada’s ruthless dismantling of Swerve Strickland, this show was equal parts drama, violence, and history in the making.

CRU & Don Callis Family vs. El Desperado, Paragon & Yuya Uemura

In a wild, back-and-forth opener, every man got a chance to shine. Yuya Uemura stole the finish by planting Lio Rush with a bridging butterfly suplex for the win.

Winners: El Desperado, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong & Yuya Uemura

Post-match, the Callis Family ambushed the victors until Tomohiro Ishii stormed down to even the odds. A massive brawl broke out with Lance Archer standing tall—until Ishii dropped him with a thunderous Vertical Drop Brainbuster to pop the London crowd.

Gates of Agony & Ricochet vs. JetSpeed & Michael Oku

High speed, high impact—exactly what you’d expect from these six men. Oku nearly stole the win with a frog splash, but Ricochet gouged his eyes before sealing the deal with the Spirit Gun.

Winners: Gates of Agony & Ricochet

Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander, Queen Aminata & Willow Nightingale vs. Megan Bayne & Triangle of Madness

Chaos reigned, with accidental miscommunication between Statlander and Nightingale shifting momentum. Megan Bayne finished things with a crushing Liger Bomb on Harley Cameron.

Winners: Megan Bayne, Julia Hart, Skye Blue & Thekla

Backstage fallout continued as Aminata and Thekla’s rivalry spilled into the arena corridors, brawling until Jamie Hayter returned to a massive ovation and sent Triangle of Madness scattering.

Bullet Club War Dogs vs. The Opps (AEW Trios Championship)

Shibata, Joe, and Hobbs were too much for the War Dogs. Despite Gedo’s interference, the champs retained when Joe crushed Robbie X with a Muscle Buster.

Winners (and still champions): The Opps

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. The Patriarchy

In their first tag team outing in 14 years, Copeland and Cage turned back the clock. Despite Kip Sabian’s desperation and Killswitch’s frustrations, the old guard landed a spear/Impaler combo before Cage scored the pin.

Winners: Adam Copeland & Christian Cage

Hiromu Takahashi vs. Kyle Fletcher (AEW TNT Championship)

A blistering match with dramatic nearfalls. Takahashi pushed Fletcher to the brink, but the champ retained with a devastating Brainbuster.

Winner (and still champion): Kyle Fletcher

AEW TBS Championship Four-Way

Mercedes Moné survived the storm of Windsor, Persephone, and Bozilla. After a chaotic Tower of Doom spot, Moné rolled Persephone up for the win.

Winner (and still champion): Mercedes Moné

Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Nigel McGuinness (IWGP World Heavyweight Championship)

A technical masterpiece in London. McGuinness had the crowd believing with the London Dungeon, but Sabre countered late and snatched victory with a sunset flip.

Winner (and still champion): Zack Sabre Jr.

Post-match, Sabre and Nigel shook hands in a sporting show of respect. Daniel Garcia, who had been lurking, looked frustrated ringside.

AEW World Tag Team Championship – Triple Threat

In a shocking turn, Brodido (Bandido & Brody King) captured the gold after masked men (revealed as Ricochet & Gates of Agony) distracted Hurt Syndicate. Bandido’s frog splash sealed it for the upset.

Winners (new champions): Brodido

AEW Unified Championship – Kazuchika Okada vs. Swerve Strickland

Swerve fought through his lingering meniscus injury (as Wrestling.news previously reported), but Okada’s precision proved too much. After countering the House Call, Okada landed the Rainmaker for the pin.

Winner (and still champion): Kazuchika Okada

After the match, Okada savagely targeted Swerve’s knee with a chair. Prince Nana attempted a save—only for Wardlow to shock the world by returning, attacking Nana and aligning with Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita.

AEW Women’s World Championship – Toni Storm vs. Athena

In a heated contest, Athena nearly dethroned Storm, but interference from Billie Starkz backfired when Mina Shirakawa made a surprise save. Storm capitalized, locking in the TCM Chickenwing to force Athena to tap.

Winner (and still champion): Toni Storm

AEW Men’s World Championship – Hangman Page vs. MJF

With the title on the line under MJF’s special stipulations, drama was guaranteed. The bout turned into a war—blood, tables, and endless counters. Despite Friedman’s Diamond Ring shenanigans, Hangman overcame it all, hitting the Deadeye and a crushing Buckshot Lariat to retain.

Winner (and still champion): Hangman Adam Page

Lights Out 10-Man Steel Cage Match

Pure carnage closed Forbidden Door. The Bucks dumped gummy bears, Moxley introduced barbed wire, Ospreay soared from the top of the cage, and Darby Allin crashed through stacked tables in one of the wildest visuals of the night. The finish saw Ospreay and Omega unite for a One-Winged Hidden Blade combo, clearing the way for victory.

Winners: Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi

Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

Forbidden Door London had everything—technical clinics, surprise returns, shocking title changes, and a main event that pushed the boundaries of insanity. Wardlow’s alignment with Don Callis may be the biggest long-term story, but equally important was Hangman Page’s gritty triumph and Swerve Strickland’s heartbreaking loss. AEW successfully delivered an international spectacle that will shape the company’s fall direction in a big way.
