AEW warmed up the crowd for All Out with Saturday’s special Tailgate Brawl, airing live at 11AM PT / 2PM ET on TNT and HBO Max. The card featured four action-packed matches that set the tone before the pay-per-view officially kicked off.

Samoa Joe & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. The Workhorsemen

The powerhouse tandem of Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs came out swinging. JD Drake’s attempted dive was met with Joe’s trademark “walk-away” spot, drawing a huge reaction. Hobbs flattened Anthony Henry while Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch on Drake, forcing the tap.

Winners: Samoa Joe & Powerhouse Hobbs (via submission)

Daniel Garcia vs. Katsuyori Shibata

Daniel Garcia squared off against Katsuyori Shibata in a physical contest that showcased Garcia’s technical precision. In the closing stretch, Garcia stomped Shibata out from a standing surfboard setup before sealing the win with a clean pinfall.

Winner: Daniel Garcia (via pinfall)

Frat House vs. Hologram & Paragon

Griff Garrison, Kole Karter, and Preston Vance—better known as Frat House—looked to overpower Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong’s Paragon team, alongside their partner Hologram. O’Reilly weathered the storm with stiff strikes and submissions, before Hologram stormed in with a fiery rally, including a big tope con giro. He finished things off by pinning Garrison.

Winners: Hologram & Paragon (via pinfall, Hologram pins Griff Garrison)

Tornado Tailgate Brawl: Harley Cameron, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata & Willow Nightingale vs. Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford & Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue)

This eight-woman brawl lived up to its “tailgate” billing, with chaos breaking out immediately. Shirts were torn, cups flew through the crowd, and weapons like spatulas and tongs even came into play. Megan Bayne dominated with raw power, while Penelope Ford spiced things up with her antics.

The babyfaces rallied after the break, highlighted by Willow Nightingale’s signature pounce. Shirakawa and Aminata punished Julia Hart and Skye Blue at ringside, smashing them into a grill. Inside the ring, Willow dropped Ford with her devastating Doctor Bomb to seal the victory.

Winners: Harley Cameron, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata & Willow Nightingale (via pinfall, Willow pins Penelope Ford)

Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

This was a lively and fan-friendly appetizer show. Samoa Joe and Hobbs looked unstoppable, Garcia added another notch to his singles résumé with a statement win, and the women’s tornado brawl provided spectacle that had fans buzzing.
