AEW Superstar SLAMS WWE — Accuses WWE of Hijacking AEW’s Biggest Weekend

In a fiery social media tirade, top AEW star and former WWE standout Ricochet didn’t hold back, calling WWE’s plans to counter-program AEW “a b**ch move” as wrestling’s hottest summer weekend heats up.

With AEW All In Texas poised to be the company’s biggest U.S. event of the year on July 12, WWE is rolling out its own firepower—running NXT Great American Bash head-to-head in the afternoon and a Saturday Night’s Main Event primetime special that evening, followed by the Evolution all-women’s PLE on Sunday.

Looking ahead, tensions may boil over again on August 24, when AEW and NJPW co-host Forbidden Door in the UK, just hours before WWE airs its NXT Heatwave special stateside. While WWE may dodge direct competition by slotting Heatwave later in the day, Ricochet says the intention is clear—undercut AEW’s momentum.

“This is definitely something WWE wants to do,” Ricochet said in response to a report from WrestleVotes. “They’re trying to hijack the conversation and momentum online. It’s a strategic narrative war, and it’s weak.”

Once beloved as a high-flying babyface in WWE, Ricochet has rebranded himself in AEW as a brash heel and outspoken critic of his former employer. Now he’s on the card for AEW All In Texas, entering the Men’s Casino Gauntlet Match for a future AEW World Title shot—and bringing real heat to a red-hot rivalry that’s no longer just storyline.

🌀 MainEvent.News Spin:
The battle lines are drawn, and the gloves are off. What used to be a quiet rivalry has turned into a full-on programming war. From crossover events like Forbidden Door to WWE stacking weekends with counter-content, this isn’t just about wrestling—it’s about control. And while WWE may hold the legacy, AEW holds the edge with fresh talent, fired-up fanbases, and now, outspoken stars like Ricochet willing to break the silence.

MainEvent.News will be covering all the latest news, rumors, and detailed results — buckle up, it’s going to be a scorcher of a summer.
