This is a live‑update overview of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025: London

Bookmark this article and check back often. We will keep updating it as new matches, ticket info, and viewing options are announced leading into the August 24 event.

AEW Forbidden Door

Wrestling fans coined “Forbidden Door” to describe wrestlers crossing promotions—a concept popular enough that AEW and New Japan used it for their blockbuster crossover pay-per-view.

After swapping dates with All In due to a scheduling conflict, Forbidden Door will now headline August 24, 2025, and air live at 3 pm ET / 8 pm UK from The O₂ Arena in London.

 How to Watch

AEW pay-per-views are $49.99

  • Purchase it via Amazon Prime Video (supported globally). (Official Amazon Affiliate – we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.)
  • You can stream live or catch it on demand after the event on HBO.
We’ll update viewing options if more platforms become available for this international event.

HBO Max continues to expand its AEW pay-per-view catalog, currently featuring events through 2024. However, rumors suggest that newer shows may be added to the platform much sooner moving forward. Unfortunately HBO Max does not provide AEW pay-per-views available live, at this time.

Where to Watch in-person?

Tickets start at just £30.50 to £566.65 ring-side for Forbidden Door live at The O₂ Arena, the same venue that hosted Money in the Bank 2023 in London English. Head to Ticketmaster. Grab tickets now if you're in the area—good seats are going to be gone within the next week.

📑 Confirmed Matchups**

Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Swerve Strickland — Unified Championship

Okada claimed the first-ever AEW Unified Title at All In by beating Kenny Omega, and now he’s defending against Swerve Strickland, who has unfinished business with Okada and The Young Bucks. Our prediction? Strickland finally breaks through—and things get personal fast.

Toni Storm (c) vs. Athena — Women’s World Championship

Athena earned her shot by winning the ROH Women’s Casino Gauntlet during All In. Though she’s steamrolling competition in ROH, beating Toni Storm in AEW feels like a steep mountain. The match is hotly anticipated, but we expect Storm to retain—for now.

Preview Update: TBS Title Qualifier on AEW Dynamite Aug 6th

New match confirmed: Alex Windsor vs. Skye Blue vs. Billie Starkz vs. Queen Aminata—winner heads to Forbidden Door. Mercedes Moné will defend the TBS Championship in London against a challenger from AEW, a challenger from STARDOM and a challenger from CMLL in a four-way battle.

At the conclusion of AEW Dynamite this Wednesday will be updating the Forbidden Door Match Card and any other important news.

**Card subject to change
