AEW’s six-year anniversary of Dynamite already promised to be a historic night, but no one could have predicted the ending. Former WWE and AEW star Andrade El Idolo made his stunning return, laying out Kenny Omega and officially aligning himself with the Don Callis Family.

Chaos Sets the Stage

This anniversary match was billed as a clash of AEW originals and new rivals: Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) teaming with Kenny Omega against Josh Alexander & The Broke Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson).

The bout lived up to the hype — fast-paced sequences, high-flying dives, brutal suplexes, and even a triple set of tombstone piledrivers that nearly stole the show. Omega ultimately sealed the victory with a One-Winged Angel on Alexander.

But the story wasn’t over.

Jurassic Express Returns

Post-match, the heels pounced, attacking Omega. The crowd erupted as Jurassic Express (Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) made their surprise return, wiping out the Bucks with high-impact offense and dragging the fight up the ramp and into the backstage area.

That left Omega alone in the ring — and with a live mic.

Omega’s Heartfelt Speech Interrupted

Kenny delivered an emotional speech to the fans, reflecting on AEW’s six-year journey:

“It’s been six years of the highest highs and the lowest lows, but sometimes what you can really take pride in is the journey itself… I’ve made a lot of friends along the way and even lost a couple, but I’m a better person because of AEW.”

Just as Omega gave his trademark “Goodbye, and good night, bang,” the lights went out.

Andrade Strikes

When they returned, a masked man stood behind Omega. Moments later, the hood came off — Andrade El Idolo was back in AEW. Without hesitation, Andrade drilled Omega with a vicious butterfly suplex he called The Message.

The crowd roared in shock as Don Callis himself entered the ring, embracing Andrade and officially revealing the newest member of the Don Callis Family.

Andrade’s return could not have been timed better. Coming off his WWE release just weeks ago, his re-emergence in AEW immediately gives him credibility and purpose by aligning with one of the most hated factions in the company. The Don Callis Family has become AEW’s central hub for top-tier villains, and Andrade adds both international star power and in-ring excellence to the mix.

The moment also played perfectly off Kenny Omega’s heartfelt speech. Just when it seemed like a celebration of AEW’s past, Andrade reminded everyone this company is still unpredictable at its core. It was shocking, it was emotional, and it was exactly the kind of “anniversary surprise” that AEW needed to make the night unforgettable.
