Fan Melts Down After Seth Rollins' Shocking SummerSlam Cash-In — Triple H Reacts to Injury "Deception"

The WWE Universe is still buzzing after Seth Rollins’ jaw-dropping Money in the Bank cash-in at SummerSlam 2025 (Night One) — but not everyone walked out of MetLife Stadium with a smile on their face.
As fans exited the building still singing Seth’s entrance theme in celebration, one extremely fired-up fan lost his cool and had an epic meltdown, caught on camera by fellow attendees. Whether he was intoxicated or just emotionally shattered over CM Punk’s sudden title loss, the fan can be seen shouting angrily at the crowd while fans around him continued to chant, “WHOA-OHHHHH!” in unison. Social media users online are saying he was drunk, but we see a dedicated CM Punk fan who was just crushed by that shocking Seth Rollins cash-in. Passion like that? We respect it at Wrestling.news.

Meanwhile, CM Punk, battered and stunned, made his way up the entrance ramp alone following the post-match cash-in — visibly upset and clutching his ribs after a grueling match against GUNTHER. Just moments earlier, Punk had captured the World Heavyweight Championship in what many believed would be a redemption arc. That is… until Seth “Freakin” Rollins reemerged with the briefcase and robbed the moment in classic Rollins fashion.

🚨 Triple H Breaks Silence: “Not Thrilled About the Bogus Medical Reports”
During the post-show SummerSlam media scrum, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque addressed the chaotic ending and didn’t hold back when talking about Rollins’ sneaky tactics — particularly surrounding the bogus injury reports that kept Rollins “off TV” in recent weeks.
“Seth Rollins is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers,” Triple H said. “He comes out, goes through none of it, and takes the World Heavyweight Championship. My hats off to him… but I’m not thrilled about the bogus medical reports. We’ll deal with that down the line.”
When asked if he always saw Rollins as a top guy since the NXT days, Triple H noted that while the talent was always there, it took time for Rollins to channel his focus:
“Back then, he had a chip on his shoulder — sometimes to his detriment. He had to grow into the superstar he is today. Tonight, he proved he’s smarter than everyone else. He’s a step ahead. Punk went to war and forgot Rollins even existed… and that’s exactly what Seth was counting on.”
Triple H also acknowledged the ongoing rivalry between Punk and Rollins, hinting that their war may be far from over:
“Seth sees CM Punk as someone who wronged the one thing he cares about most — WWE. And he will never forgive him. They’re destined to do this until one of them is done.”
🧠 Wrestling.News | Backstage Take
This was the swerve of the year. Rollins worked the fans, the roster, and even WWE’s own press pool with the "injury" angle — and CM Punk, who had just gone through a war with GUNTHER, never saw it coming. It’s a brutal reminder of what makes MITB so dangerous: it’s not just a title opportunity — it’s a loaded weapon in the hands of someone like Rollins. Expect this rivalry to hit a fever pitch on SummerSlam Night Two or soon after, especially now that Punk has every reason to go scorched earth.
