For Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux, life after WWE isn’t just creatively freeing — it’s proving to be more profitable too.

After leaving WWE on August 10, 2025, when their contracts expired, the pair have reignited their independent careers and are seeing real success on their own terms. Speaking on The Coach and Bro Show with Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo, Scarlett made a surprising revelation — she and Kross are earning more money now than they did during their WWE tenure.

“This sounds crazy and probably not very believable,” Scarlett said. “But it’s something I feel like people in WWE right now who might be stressed out — ‘Am I going to get released?’ — might want to hear this. We are making more than we were making there. And we were getting paid very well, but we are making more now weekly on the shows we’re doing than we were at WWE.And WWE pays great, but it can be done if you hustle.”

Contract Fallout & Career Rebirth

Kross’ WWE exit wasn’t without tension. Reports indicate that WWE did offer him a new deal, but it was rescinded after he asked to see how the proposed figures were calculated. Scarlett, who actually signed with WWE before Kross, was not offered a new deal at all — something she later described as “misogynistic.”

Many fans initially believed their departure might be part of a storyline, but that was quickly debunked. Since then, the duo has returned to the independent circuit under their original ring names, bringing their intense chemistry and gothic presentation back to life.

MLW, Independence, and Momentum

Next up for the couple: MLW x Don Gato Live Wrestling Special in Charleston, South Carolina, on November 20. Kross will face Matt Riddle, flanked by Scarlett at ringside, in what’s expected to be one of the event’s top attractions.

The same show will also feature Isla Dawn’s MLW debut, along with matches featuring Donovan Dijak, Bishop Dyer, Shotzi Blackheart, and The Good Brothers — signaling a surge of major names bolstering MLW’s momentum.

Killer Kross and Scarlett are proving that the WWE machine isn’t the only road to success — and that’s an important message for the entire industry. For years, fans have debated whether stars could thrive financially once they leave WWE. Now, Kross and Scarlett are walking proof that with strong branding, relentless work ethic, and smart booking, independence can pay off — literally.

The duo’s aura, theatrical presence, and willingness to reinvent themselves have made them one of wrestling’s most in-demand acts outside the corporate bubble. With MLW, New Japan, and international promotions expanding again, they’ve positioned themselves as top-tier attractions wherever they go.

If WWE underestimated their value, the post-WWE world clearly hasn’t.
