One of WWE’s Most Beloved Voices Might Not Be Done Yet

A familiar voice from WWE may soon echo through AEW arenas.

Samantha Irvin, beloved by fans and insiders alike for her electrifying ring announcing, is rumored to be on the move — and the destination could be All Elite Wrestling.

Irvin, who joined WWE in 2021, began on 205 Live before quickly rising through the ranks. She became the voice of SmackDown in 2022, then transitioned to RAW in 2023, where she remained until her surprise departure in 2024.

Known for her dynamic energy, signature voice, and emotional delivery, Irvin created countless memorable moments — none more iconic than her tearful announcement of Cody Rhodes as Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania 40, a clip that went viral across the wrestling world.

Her exit from WWE left fans stunned.

From WWE to AEW?

Now, buzz is building around Irvin potentially joining AEW — especially with her real-life partner Ricochet recently signing with the Florida-based promotion.

During a recent Q&A on Fightful Select, wrestling insider Sean Ross Sapp added fuel to the speculation:

“I find it hard to believe she wouldn’t [join AEW]. She is well liked in the industry, and I’ve always been told she’s a welcome presence at AEW. Originally, AEW was anticipating doing more work with JoJo Offerman, but that didn’t happen for some reason.”

While nothing is officially confirmed, fans have been connecting the dots — and the timing couldn’t be better for AEW to add a powerhouse voice to their growing roster.

Still in the Spotlight

Irvin, whose real name is Samantha Johnson, was no stranger to the spotlight before WWE. She previously appeared on America’s Got Talent, showcasing her musical talent to a national audience.

Since stepping away from the wrestling world, she’s stayed active. In May, she took the stage once again — this time to introduce Stevie Wonder at a mental health awareness event hosted by the Las Vegas Raiders.

Whether her next announcement comes in a wrestling ring or elsewhere, one thing’s for sure: Samantha Irvin’s voice isn’t going silent anytime soon.
