Ric Flair Pulls Out of Atlanta Comic Con Appearance Due to Health Concerns

Wrestling legend Ric Flair has pulled out of an upcoming appearance at Atlanta Comic Con, citing personal and health-related issues.
The 76-year-old icon made the announcement via social media, thanking fans for their continued support and expressing hope to return to the convention circuit soon.
“I am not going to be at the @ATL__CC tomorrow because of personal and health related issues,” Flair posted. “Thank you so much for understanding & for all the appreciation! I look forward to seeing you at a future signing.”
Flair didn’t go into detail, but earlier this week, he posted a photo showing fresh surgical bandages across his abdomen — suggesting he’s recently undergone a medical procedure.

A Lifetime in the Spotlight
Ric Flair isn’t just a wrestling legend — he is the legend. With 16 world championships and two WWE Hall of Fame inductions to his name, Flair has become a living symbol of everything larger-than-life in pro wrestling. His convention lines stretch down hallways, packed with fans — from old-school diehards to younger generations raised on stories of the “Nature Boy.”
In 2024, Flair returned to the national spotlight with a two-year AEW deal, stepping into a powerful role in the build-up to his longtime friend and rival Sting’s retirement. That storyline alone brought tears and nostalgia to fans who grew up on their epic battles. Off screen, Flair hasn’t slowed down. He’s continued traveling the country for Comic Cons and fan events, always willing to snap a photo, sign a belt, or share a laugh with those who made his career possible.
Flair doesn’t just enjoy the spotlight — he thrives in it. It’s where he feels most alive. Always has, always will.
A Father’s Belief That Never Wavered
Flair’s daughter, Charlotte Flair, also took a moment recently to reflect on her father’s legacy — not just in the ring, but in her life. In a heartfelt message, Charlotte shared:
“He can be frustrating, annoying, overbearing, overwhelming… but he believes in me. He’s always believed in me. And he’s the one person who never, ever gave up on my potential to be great.”
Her words echo what many wrestling fans already know — Ric Flair has always been his daughter’s biggest fan, and their bond continues to inspire the next generation of performers and fans alike.
