“It’s gotta be something with him and the girl,” Mantell explained. “That’s what they’re used to seeing. Maybe she dumps him… or he dumps her. Maybe another guy gets involved — and boom, you’ve got controversy.”

Mantell emphasized that tapping into real-world relationship drama is one of the oldest, most effective tricks in wrestling storytelling:

“Everybody can relate. Whether you’ve been dumped, cheated on, or seen someone go through it — fans connect with that stuff. And that emotional pull could be what Kross needs to rise to the next level.”
