Scotty 2 Hotty Returns to ROH — Teams with His Son in Special AEW Moment

The OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, witnessed a heartwarming moment on Wednesday night as former WWE Attitude Era star and current AEW producer Scotty 2 Hotty stepped back into a Ring of Honor ring for the first time in 15 years. Even more special — he shared the ring with his son, Keagan Garland, in their first father-son tag team match under the ROH banner.
A Family Affair in Scotland
The bout took place during ROH television tapings before AEW Dynamite went live. Scotty and Keagan squared off against Jon Cruz and Bret Levi, with the father-son pairing scoring the victory. The match, which is expected to air soon on HonorClub, adds a meaningful chapter to both of their journeys.
This wasn’t their first time teaming together — Garland, who trained under former WWE and AEW coach Ace Steel, has worked alongside his father on the independent scene. But making it happen on a major stage like ROH elevated the occasion.

Scotty 2 Hotty’s Legacy
For longtime fans, the sight of Scotty 2 Hotty back in the ring was a nostalgic callback to one of WWE’s most beloved eras. As part of Too Cool with Rikishi and the late Brian Christopher (Grandmaster Sexay), Scotty helped define Attitude Era entertainment with his dance moves and his iconic finisher, The Worm.
Since retiring from full-time competition, Scotty transitioned into coaching at the WWE Performance Center before joining AEW as a backstage producer. His last ROH appearance came way back in January 2010 in a quick loss to Larry Zbyszko — making this return, alongside his son, all the more memorable.

This is the kind of moment that reminds us why wrestling is more than just wins and losses — it’s about legacy, family, and passing the torch. Scotty 2 Hotty will always be remembered for the fun and energy he brought during WWE’s hottest era, but now fans are seeing him create memories with his son on a major stage.
For AEW and ROH, showcasing moments like this adds a layer of nostalgia while also planting seeds for the future. If Keagan Garland can carve out his own path, this may not just be a feel-good story — it could be the beginning of a new chapter for a second-generation star.
