The Undertaker To Join WWE Creative Team

Konnan thinks The Undertaker is taking an increasingly important role in WWE.

Since wrestling his last match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36, The Undertaker has been open about struggling to adapt to retirement. Although he knows his body can no longer take the punishment it did, that doesn’t change the fact that he still wishes he were in the ring night in and night out.

In an effort to fill the void left by not wrestling, the WWE Hall of Famer has worked as an occasional coach in NXT while regularly attending the company’s biggest events. However, according to Konnan, he could be about to take on a much more hands-on position.

Speaking on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan, who worked commentary at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide, said ‘Taker was at the event working in creative, and looks set to take up the role on a more permanent basis.

“Yes, bro was running around. So I think that Undertaker wants to get into creative,” Konnan said. “He likes it a lot, and he was in creative at Money in the Bank. He was at the other one [Worlds Collide] and he’s very interested in being part of the creative team.”

The Undertaker would be far from the first former wrestler to join WWE’s creative structure, with Triple H overseeing the big picture and Road Dogg working as the Head Writer on SmackDown. Meanwhile, Shawn Michaels continues to run NXT.

The Undertaker Recently Underwent Surgery

The Undertaker Recently Underwent Surgery On the most recent episode of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker revealed that he underwent heart surgery immediately following WrestleMania 41.

In the lead-up to the event, The Deadman had been in and out of the hospital with a mystery heart issue, and doctors warned him against travelling to Las Vegas. However, he made the trip and made his scheduled appearances, including inducting his wife, Michelle McCool, into the WWE Hall of Fame.

‘Taker and McCool added that he underwent surgery at 6 am the day after getting home, and thankfully, the issues have been resolved.
