The Young Bucks Expose Adam Page’s Secret to Success in AEW

“Hangman” Adam Page has climbed to the very top of AEW, becoming a multiple-time champion and the current AEW World Champion. While his journey has included unforgettable matches and career-defining moments, The Young Bucks say his success stems from one key trait: his attitude.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso, Matt and Nick Jackson reflected on their longtime friend and partner’s rise, revealing that Page’s outlook set him apart from the beginning.
“Hangman was young, handsome, and unexposed. He had the right attitude. That is so important in wrestling,” The Bucks said. “If you’re a joy to work with and collaborate with, then more people will want to work with you. But most importantly, he had all the tools, instincts, and talent.”
From Bullet Club to AEW Glory
The Bucks and Page’s history goes back years — from their days in Bullet Club in ROH and NJPW to the formation of AEW in 2019. Along the way, they’ve fought alongside each other and across the ring as rivals.
One standout moment came at AEW Revolution 2020, when Page teamed with Kenny Omega to face The Bucks in a match still hailed as one of the greatest tag team bouts of all time. Their paths have continued to intertwine, mixing camaraderie and conflict in true wrestling fashion.
A Hidden Smile at All In
Earlier this year at AEW All In: Texas, Page defeated Jon Moxley to reclaim the AEW World Championship. Despite their interference on behalf of Moxley, The Young Bucks couldn’t help but feel pride as Page secured his victory.
Matt Jackson admitted he had a moment of reflection as the bout came to a close:
“Being involved in the main event gave me the privilege to prop myself up on a guardrail and watch the finish. I covered my smiling mouth with my hand. So proud. He’s become bigger than even I ever expected.”
What’s Next for Hangman
Page’s next challenge comes at AEW Forbidden Door 2025 in London, where he’ll defend the AEW World Championship against MJF in the main event. The card is stacked, with marquee bouts like Kazuchika Okada vs. Swerve Strickland for the Unified Championship, The Death Riders vs. Team Will Ospreay in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match, and Toni Storm vs. Athena for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Adam Page’s story is the perfect reminder that in wrestling, talent and timing matter — but attitude is the glue that holds it all together. The Young Bucks saw his star power long before the rest of the world caught on, and their words carry weight. Now, as Page heads into a blockbuster showdown with MJF, it’s clear that his blend of humility and intensity has made him one of AEW’s most important pillars.
