Titan Towers To Be Reborn: WWE’s Iconic Headquarters Set For Luxury Apartment Transformation

The famous WWE Titan Towers in Stamford — the site of countless historic promos, boardroom showdowns, and corporate milestones — is about to enter an entirely new chapter.

According to The Stamford Advocate, developers have filed official plans with the city’s Land Use Bureau to transform the now-vacant 1241 E. Main Street property into 84 high-end apartments. The project will be helmed by MB Financial Group, which purchased the building in January for $3.75 million after WWE officially relocated to its new downtown headquarters.

Attorney Lisa Feinberg, who represents the developers, said the move reflects a shift in Stamford’s real estate priorities:

“The demand for traditional office space has declined over time. The city’s long-term plan supports converting underused office buildings into housing.”

Feinberg added that the new development would contribute to the city’s housing goals while maintaining the local aesthetic:

“This project will deliver much-needed housing, including affordable units, without altering the character of the surrounding area.”

A Piece of RAW History Filmed on the Roof

Before Titan Towers becomes luxury apartments, it’s worth remembering one of its most iconic moments in WWE lore — the 1995 “Monday Night RAW” intro, filmed right on its rooftop.

The unforgettable opening featured Razor Ramon, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, The Undertaker, Lex Luger, Diesel, and more New Generation Superstars battling across the top of the building as explosions lit up the Stamford skyline. That larger-than-life sequence wasn’t CGI — it was actually filmed atop WWE’s real headquarters, complete with pyrotechnics and stunt coordination that turned Titan Towers into a set worthy of Hollywood.

It remains one of the most visually striking intros in wrestling history — a time capsule of 90s WWE energy, attitude, and over-the-top spectacle.

As part of the plan, six of the 84 units are designated as below-market-rate apartments — though developers may instead contribute to Stamford’s affordable housing fund.

WWE officially vacated Titan Towers earlier this year, taking the final step in a corporate migration that began under the TKO Group Holdings era. The company’s move into a modern downtown office complex also included the symbolic removal of the massive red “WWE” logo that once overlooked Interstate 95 — a sight every wrestling fan associated with the company’s global dominance since the 1980s.

💬 Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

For longtime WWE fans, this one hits a nostalgic nerve. Titan Towers wasn’t just a corporate HQ — it was a character in its own right. From Vince McMahon’s infamous 1999 Super Bowl commercial to the Money in the Bank rooftop match in 2020, it’s where decades of wrestling history were written.

The move is symbolic of WWE’s evolution under TKO: old guard out, modern era in. And while Stamford gains luxury apartments, the wrestling world quietly says goodbye to one of its most recognizable backdrops. Somewhere, you can almost hear Vince shouting, “Welcome to Titan Towers!” one last time.
