TNA iMPACT! Preview – August 14, 2025: Final Stop Before Emergence Explodes

The countdown to Emergence is almost over — and TNA is throwing everything at the wall in this final stop before one of its biggest nights of the year. With Bound For Glory already looming on the horizon, Thursday’s iMPACT! promises high-stakes chaos, last-minute grudges, and more than a few preview fireworks.
Trick Williams, Rich Swann & AJ Francis vs. The System
Before he defends the TNA World Championship against Moose at Emergence, Trick Williams teams up with the returning Rich Swann and AJ Francis to take on The System’s Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and JDC. Expect this to be less about “order” and more about bodies flying in the last faceoff before the big title match.
Knockouts Tag Team Summit
One night before the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles are decided in a four-way war, the teams meet for a verbal showdown. Fatal Influence, The Elegance Brand, The IInspiration, and the duo of Léi Yǐng Lee & Xia Brookside will stand face-to-face — and with these four squads, it’s safe to say the talking may not stay “just talking” for long.
Champions vs. Challengers Six-Man Tag
It’s champions versus challengers in a preview of Emergence gold fights. X-Division Champion Leon Slater teams with World Tag Team Champions The Hardys to take on Cedric Alexander and The Rascalz. With multiple title pictures colliding, this one’s bound to get messy in the best way possible.
Mike Santana vs. Eric Young
Mike Santana wants to walk into Baltimore with momentum for his showdown with Sami Callihan — but Eric Young and The Northern Armory may have other plans. Expect some psychological warfare as much as physical.
King’s Speech: Maclin, Jake Something & Frankie Kazarian
With their No DQ, No Countout match for the International Championship just 24 hours away, Steve Maclin and Jake Something share the ring with Frankie Kazarian for a “King’s Speech.” If last week’s brawl is anything to go by, this might turn into a demolition derby before a single word is finished.
Matt Cardona vs. John Skyler
The self-proclaimed “Internet Champion” returns to the iMPACT Zone, but with Tasha Steelz and Jason Hotch lurking at ringside, Matt Cardona’s return bout against Order 4’s John Skyler could become a numbers game.
Dani Luna & Indi Hartwell vs. Myla Grace & Harley Hudson
Two duos on the rise battle for momentum on the eve of Emergence. Can Luna and Hartwell assert veteran dominance, or will Grace and Hudson pull off the upset?
Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
This week’s iMPACT! feels like a pressure cooker ready to blow. TNA is smartly stacking storyline payoffs right next to in-ring action to give Emergence that “can’t-miss” vibe. The Knockouts Tag Team Summit might steal the segment spotlight, while Maclin and Jake Something’s inevitable pre-PPV scrap has “wild brawl” written all over it. And don’t sleep on Trick Williams’ six-man tag — if The System leaves with the upper hand, Moose will walk into Emergence with dangerous momentum.
