TNA Nears Game-Changing Broadcast Agreement

Big changes could be on the horizon for TNA Wrestling, as the company moves closer to finalizing a pivotal new media rights agreement that may reshape its weekly programming format.

During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Anthem Sports Group President Carlos Silva confirmed that negotiations have accelerated, with a potential deal expected to close within 60 to 90 days.

“We’ve been working on it since the beginning of the year, really since I joined,” Silva said. “It’s really accelerated over the last 60 days. I think we’re in a 60- to 90-day window to get something done.”

Silva was transparent about the fluid nature of media negotiations, adding:

“The media landscape is changing every single day... it’s never done until the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed. But we’re working hard at it.”

📺 Weekly Live TV Could Become Reality

One of the key outcomes of the new deal could be live weekly broadcasts — a major shift from the company’s current model, which relies on pre-taped episodes of Impact Wrestling aired every Thursday.

Silva revealed that potential broadcast partners are pushing for TNA to go live 52 weeks a year, and that the company is actively exploring how to make that happen.

“We’ve been asked by many partners that they’d like it to be live 52 weeks a year,” Silva said. “Maybe it wouldn’t go live in January right away, but we’d certainly lean into that to try and make it happen.”

However, Silva clarified that while shows may air live, that doesn’t necessarily mean TNA will go on the road full-time or shift to a different city every week — a move that would dramatically increase costs.

📰 MainEvent.News Spin: A Crucial Crossroads for TNA

This could be the moment TNA desperately needs. After years of rebuilding and rebranding, the move to weekly live television could be the shot of adrenaline required to make the promotion feel relevant again in a crowded wrestling landscape dominated by WWE and AEW.

But it all hinges on the details of this new deal. Will TNA land with a mainstream partner that boosts exposure — or stay in the shadows on a niche platform? And can they consistently deliver a high-quality product live every week?

If the right deal lands, 2025 could mark the most significant turning point for TNA in over a decade.
