Triple Threat for the WWE Women’s Championship Official for Next Week’s SmackDown

The WWE Universe was buzzing tonight in Toledo, Ohio, expecting the rumored triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship to be made official ahead of Wrestlepalooza. Instead, fans got fireworks — but not the match.
Nia Jax came down to the ring on SmackDown with venom in her blood, immediately trashing both the fans in Toledo and the women’s division as a whole. Proclaiming herself “the alpha female” of WWE, Jax didn’t hold back, throwing barbs at Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill. She mocked Stratton for being “annoying” and claimed Jade looks the part of a star until she steps into the ring — where, according to Jax, she “gets annihilated.”

Just as Nia wrapped her tirade, Tiffany Stratton stormed onto the stage. The “Buff Barbie” clapped back, saying the entire WWE Universe is sick of Jax’s constant complaining. She made it clear: Nia doesn’t run this division, and nobody wants her anywhere near the title picture. Stratton doubled down on her own status, declaring herself the one and only WWE Women’s Champion.
Before things could explode, referees and security swarmed. But then Jade Cargill arrived. The powerhouse wasted no time throwing fists, mowing down security like bowling pins as she marched to the ring. Chaos nearly erupted, but SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis quickly cut things off.
Aldis announced that due to Tiffany Stratton not being fully cleared for in-ring action, the triple threat will not happen tomorrow at Wrestlepalooza. Instead, it’s officially set for next week’s SmackDown in Orlando, Florida: Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship.

It’s unfortunate Tiffany Stratton wasn’t cleared in time to make this triple threat part of Wrestlepalooza, as it would’ve been a massive addition to an already stacked card. However, in a way, the timing works out in WWE’s favor. By shifting the match to SmackDown in Orlando, the company not only protects Stratton but also ensures the fallout from Wrestlepalooza carries over with a must-see title match. It’s a clever move that keeps Jade Cargill red hot, stacks next week’s show like a pay-per-view, and gives WWE the chance to stretch momentum across both ESPN’s new platform and its weekly programming.
