Updated Card For WWE Clash in Paris: Naomi Vacates Women’s Title, Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed Heats Up

WWE’s road to Clash in Paris just took a dramatic turn.
On the August 18th episode of Raw, Naomi made an emotional announcement that she is pregnant — congratulations to her and Jimmy Uso! 🎉 The news, however, means she has vacated the Women’s World Championship, and her scheduled match with Stephanie Vaquer has been officially canceled.
As of now, no replacement challenger has been announced for Vaquer. But given WWE’s history and the high stakes, it seems likely that we’ll see some kind of tournament or qualifying series leading up to Paris. The eventual winner would then face Vaquer for the vacant Women’s World Championship on August 31st at the Paris La Défense Arena.
Meanwhile, the men’s side of the card delivered fireworks. In the Raw main event, Roman Reigns made his shocking return and dismantled The Vision one by one. As the show closed, Reigns stood tall and called out Bronson Reed directly, declaring he’ll “see him in Paris.” Reed appeared to accept the challenge, but here’s the catch — WWE later pulled the official clip of the confrontation from their X account. The match has yet to be formally announced, but all signs point to Reigns vs. Reed being a marquee showdown.
Here’s the updated Clash in Paris card (so far):
- World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way: Seth Rollins vs. LA Knight vs. Jey Uso vs. CM Punk
- Donnybrook Match: Sheamus vs. Rusev
- Logan Paul vs. John Cena
- Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed (TBD / not officially confirmed)
🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
WWE is walking a fine line between reality and storyline right now. Naomi vacating the title is heartbreaking for fans, but her announcement was real, raw, and genuine — something that often elevates a star even further when they eventually return. Don’t be surprised if WWE leans into a tournament build for Paris, especially with a global spotlight on the women’s division.
As for Roman Reigns? His return had big fight feel written all over it. The reaction in Philly reminded us why he’s still the standard-bearer of this era. If the Reigns vs. Reed match becomes official, Clash in Paris could end up being one of the most stacked international cards in WWE history.
Stay tuned — more updates to the card are expected in the coming days.
