Updated Details: TNA Star Pulled From Shows Amid Domestic Violence Allegations

Disclaimer: The following report contains details of domestic violence allegations. These claims have not been independently verified. Wrestling.news does not allege that any crimes were committed, and is reporting only on information that has been made public through social media and verified outlets.

Allegations Surface Online

Top TNA Knockouts competitor Masha Slamovich is facing serious allegations of domestic violence made public by her former partner, independent wrestler AKIRA (real name Alexander Atkisson). On September 23, screenshots of alleged text messages and photos of injuries were shared online by AKIRA’s manager, including images of facial bruises, split lips, and marks on his hands.

One exchange attributed to Slamovich reads:

“You cursed at me — that’s why you got hit.”

In response, AKIRA allegedly replied:

“You hit me. You’re wrong.”

Other messages paint a picture of a volatile relationship, with both parties expressing frustration and strain. Alongside the screenshots, AKIRA’s manager posted:

“Explain why is it okay to celebrate a woman who done this to her ex and have her in the top 25.”

As of press time, Slamovich (real name Anna Khozina) has not publicly responded to the allegations.

Fallout for Slamovich and TNA

The timing could not be more critical for Slamovich’s career. She was scheduled to challenge Ash By Elegance for the Knockouts World Championship at Victory Road on September 26. However, TNA has pulled her from the match following the surfacing of the allegations.

A TNA spokesperson told SI.com’s The Takedown:

“We take any allegations like this very seriously, and have begun an internal investigation.”

Two independent promotions have also announced changes:

  • Prestige Wrestling has removed Slamovich from their October 5 Roseland XII event in Portland, replacing her with Shayna Baszler.
  • West Coast Pro Wrestling confirmed she will no longer appear on their November 1 card, How the West Was Won, in San Francisco.

Background on Both Wrestlers

Slamovich, who has wrestled internationally since 2016, gained prominence in Impact/TNA beginning in 2021. She captured the Knockouts World Championship at Bound for Glory 2024, later losing it to Jacy Jayne at Slammiversary 2025. She has also appeared on WWE NXT as part of the ongoing WWE–TNA talent exchange.

AKIRA, known for his deathmatch background and stints in MLW, has held the MLW Middleweight and Tag Team Championships, as well as Big Japan Pro Wrestling’s Deathmatch Heavyweight Title. He and Slamovich were an on-screen and off-screen tag team between 2022–2023.

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

This is one of the most sensitive and potentially career-altering controversies to hit TNA in recent memory. Masha Slamovich had been positioned as a top-tier player in the Knockouts division, even appearing on NXT during WWE’s crossover programming. Her removal from Victory Road just days before the event underscores how quickly these allegations have impacted her standing.

For TNA, the timing is brutal. The Knockouts division has been one of the company’s crown jewels, and Slamovich’s matches consistently brought credibility and intensity. Losing her from upcoming cards—especially amid an ongoing WWE partnership—creates ripple effects far beyond one performer.

Until Slamovich addresses the allegations directly or TNA completes its internal investigation, this story will remain an evolving—and highly scrutinized—situation.
