Updates on Recent WWE Releases: One Former Star Refuses to Stay Down — "Can’t believe I’m gonna get to wrestle again."

WWE’s latest round of developmental cuts has left a ripple through the locker room — and at least one released talent is already turning the page with humor and optimism.
Former WWE EVOLVE authority figure Stevie Turner took to X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend, poking fun at her release by posting,
“Can’t believe I’m gonna get to wrestle again.”

The remark quickly made the rounds among fans, many applauding her positive attitude amid the uncertainty. Turner, real name Lucy Bridge, spent nearly four years with WWE after signing in 2021 and originally reporting to the NXT UK brand.
She later transitioned to the WWE EVOLVE project, serving as an on-screen manager during the brand’s Wednesday night slot on Tubi — airing head-to-head with AEW Dynamite.
Earlier this week, Turner confirmed her official exit from the company, writing:
“My time with WWE has come to an end. I’ve had a brilliant time and I’m so excited for the future. See you soon!”

Turner joins Lance Anoa’i and Drake Starks (Drako Knox) among the most recent wave of WWE developmental releases. WWE also cut Kylie Rae and Zayda Steel, both major names within the WWE I.D. division, within the past 48 hours.
🗣️ Wrestling.News | Backstage Take:
It’s never easy seeing talented prospects let go, but Stevie Turner’s reaction says a lot about her resilience and love for the business. Her blend of charisma and ring skill made her a standout in NXT UK, and fans online are already speculating about where she could land next — possibly TNA, AEW, or even the booming UK independent scene. Don’t be surprised if Turner uses this setback as a full-circle comeback story.
