Vince McMahon Eyes Pro Wrestling Return Amid Legal Storm

Industry Insiders Expect Vince McMahon to Return to Pro Wrestling, Despite Legal Battle
Vince McMahon, the former Chairman and CEO of WWE, is facing a high-profile lawsuit that could have far-reaching implications for his legacy and future. Yet, in true McMahon fashion, the embattled mogul isn’t stepping away from the spotlight—instead, he's doubling down on his ambitions.
Amid legal uncertainty, McMahon has quietly launched a new business venture, fueling speculation that he is planning a return to the world of sports entertainment. According to Undisputed's Justin Barrasso, key figures across both combat sports and professional wrestling believe McMahon’s re-entry into the industry is imminent. Several executives anticipate that investors would eagerly back any enterprise helmed by McMahon, given his track record of transforming WWE into a global powerhouse.
Central to the speculation is McMahon’s newly formed investment firm, 14TH & I. While not expected to produce media content directly, sources suggest it could function as a holding company in the mold of Titan Sports, the corporate entity that once served as WWE’s parent company. The structure hints at a strategic foundation for a larger venture—one that could reshape the industry once again.
Further stoking the conversation is McMahon’s recent acquisition of a controlling interest in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). The promotion’s founder and president, David Feldman, confirmed McMahon’s deep interest in returning to the world of promotion.
“He’s a great guy—his whole team is great—but the timing wasn’t right for us,” Feldman told Barrasso. “He’s Vince McMahon. If I were him, I’d want creative control, too. He was awesome, very complimentary, and extremely serious about doing business.”
Barrasso’s reporting suggests that McMahon’s discussions with Feldman are part of a broader strategy already in motion—one that signals a potential return to the business he helped revolutionize.
Meanwhile, criticism continues to grow over WWE's current creative direction under Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Discontent among segments of the fanbase has led to renewed calls for McMahon’s return—or, in a bold move, for him to reacquire the company from its current owner, TKO Group Holdings.
While nothing is officially confirmed, all signs point to one conclusion: Vince McMahon may be down, but he's far from out—and his next move could once again shake up the pro wrestling world.
