WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page Hospitalized After AFib Scare

Diamond Dallas Page, WWE Hall of Famer and the man behind the life-changing DDP Yoga program, has revealed he was hospitalized this week after suffering from atrial fibrillation (AFib) during a training session.
Page shared the update in a candid video on X (formerly Twitter), appearing upbeat as he stretched in his hospital bed while hooked up to IVs and monitors. He explained that he had just undergone a successful cardioversion — a medical procedure designed to restore a normal heartbeat.
“Last week, I went into AFib,” Page explained. “I normally wear a heart monitor when training, but for some reason didn’t this day. I pushed myself too hard, felt ‘off,’ dizzy, and my heart was racing... and well, here we are.”
Minutes after waking up from a successful cardioversion, I’m back stretching. My wife, @PaygeMcMahon is like… ‘can you just rest for 24-hours?’ 🤪

This marks Page’s second AFib episode in three years, and he revealed he will undergo a cardiac ablation next month to address the recurring issue. For context, the Mayo Clinic describes ablation as a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat, cold, or electrical impulses to create tiny scars in the heart tissue, blocking the irregular signals that cause abnormal rhythms.
Despite the serious nature of the scare, the 69-year-old Page injected his trademark humor into the moment. In the video, he reminded fans he could “always do DDP Yoga stretches,” raising his leg high while joking about his hamstrings being tight from training. He also used the opportunity to urge others — particularly anyone over 50 or with an enlarged heart — to wear a monitor during workouts. He promised his wife he’d never skip his own again.
Page’s last in-ring appearance came in January 2020, when he teamed with Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall on an episode of AEW Dynamite. Earlier this year, he was on hand at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in April, where he helped induct his close friend, Lex Luger.

DDP has long been an inspiration, not just for his wrestling career but for his second act as a fitness and wellness pioneer. His openness about health struggles — and his willingness to educate others while going through them — is another example of why fans admire him so deeply. Page’s upbeat spirit in the hospital bed is classic DDP, turning a setback into a teachable moment. All eyes will be on his recovery, but if history has shown us anything, it’s that Dallas Page doesn’t just bounce back — he comes back stronger.
