WWE Monday Night Raw Results - July 21, 2025: CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Chaos — New No. 1 Contenders, Title Drama, and SummerSlam Momentum Builds

Houston, we had no chill. WWE Raw delivered an emotionally charged, action-packed night that featured top-tier promos, championship implications, shocking returns, and explosive build-up toward SummerSlam.

Here’s everything that went down on the July 21 edition of Monday Night Raw:

🔥 CM Punk and GUNTHER Go Face-to-Face

The night kicked off with a fired-up CM Punk, who declared he’s now singularly focused on becoming World Heavyweight Champion — and that his eyes are locked on GUNTHER. The Ring General interrupted to deliver an ice-cold response: Punk’s ego is built on fan adoration, not in-ring results.

GUNTHER promised to humiliate Punk at SummerSlam. The staredown said it all — this isn’t just a title match. It’s a war for legacy.

🥊 Sheamus def. Rusev

In a hard-hitting brawl between two European powerhouses, Sheamus walked away with a victory after outsmarting Rusev, using a distraction to land a Brogue Kick and secure the pin.

🏆 LWO Win Tag Team Triple Threat, Earn Title Shot

LWO (with Dragon Lee) defeated The Creed Brothers and New Day in a chaotic triple threat match to become No. 1 Contenders for the World Tag Team Titles. Interference from El Grande Americano and Dragon Lee escalated tensions, but it was Joaquin Wilde’s crafty roll-up that sealed the deal.

🎬 Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria Gets SummerSlam Stipulation

In a sharp promo segment, Becky Lynch proposed a high-stakes match: If Lyra Valkyria loses at SummerSlam, she’ll never challenge for the Women’s Intercontinental Title again. Valkyria raised the ante, turning it into a No DQ, No Count-Out match — then dropped Lynch with a Manhandle Slam to make her point.

👑 Women's Tag Team Championship: Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez (c) def. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria

A wild and interference-heavy tag match saw Becky Lynch sneak in a late attack, allowing Perez and Rodriguez to retain their titles. Dominik Mysterio’s injury status became part of the story, only for AJ Styles (disguised as a medic) to get involved. In the end, Rodriguez's Texana Bomb ended it.

⚔️ Karrion Kross def. Sami Zayn

Zayn gave it his all, but Scarlett’s interference and a well-placed lead pipe to Zayn’s ribs helped Kross steal a win. Another dark chapter in this rivalry.

🌪️ IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer Ends in No Contest

Just as things picked up, Chelsea Green, Piper Niven, and Alba Fyre stormed the ring. Naomi attacked SKY from behind, only for Rhea Ripley to return with vengeance and clean house.

🩸 Roman Reigns Returns, Confronts Paul Heyman, Breakker & Reed

The closing segment saw Roman Reigns lay into Paul Heyman, accusing him of betraying the family. Bron Breakker called Reigns "yesterday’s news," triggering a massive brawl. Jey Uso made the save to stand tall with Reigns as Raw went off the air.

🎤 MainEvent.News | Backstage Take

From CM Punk’s fiery vow to Roman Reigns reclaiming his spot atop the mountain, Raw felt like a genuine turning point heading into SummerSlam. GUNTHER and Punk may steal the show, but the tension between Reigns, Heyman, and Breakker is pure storytelling gold. Meanwhile, the women’s division is thriving with layered stories and hard-hitting matches — WWE’s building something special this summer.
