WWE NXT Results - August 12, 2025: Trick Walks, DarkState Talks — Hank & Tank End It in Ruins

NXT closed with pure chaos as DarkState (Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin & Cutler James) notched the biggest victory of their young run—and then got bulldozed by the tag champs for good measure. Here’s everything that went down:
Nia Jax def. Lash Legend
Nia Jax rolled into Orlando and went to war with Lash Legend. The fight spilled to the steps and the announce table, where Legend tried to suplex Jax through it—only for Jax to reverse and smash Legend through the desk instead. Legend somehow beat the count, but her late powerbomb try was snatched out of mid-air and turned into an Annihilator for the finish.

Joe Hendry def. Charlie Dempsey
Say his name and—well, you know the rest. Joe Hendry absorbed Charlie Dempsey’s mat wrestling clinic, rallied behind the NXT crowd, and landed Standing Ovation for the win. A tough L for what remains of the No Quarter Catch Crew, who continue to unravel.
STANDING. OVATION.

Kelani Jordan & Lola Vice def. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley)
With Jazmyn Nyx meddling at ringside, Fatal Influence tried to steal one. The interference backfired. Lola Vice detonated Jacy Jayne with a brutal spinning backfist, and Kelani Jordan sealed it with her “One of a Kind” split-legged moonsault. The chase for Jayne’s spot at the top of the division just got a lot more crowded.
LIGHTS. OUT.

With a knockout assist from @lolavicewwe, @kelani_wwe just pinned @jacyjaynewwe! 😱 pic.twitter.com/VHfSKefyZb
Alba Fyre def. Kendal Grey
Back on NXT and proudly fighting as “Slaygent A,” Alba Fyre stepped in to defend Chelsea Green’s honor against the game Kendal Grey. Grey pushed the pace and rattled Fyre early, but veteran timing won out as Fyre threaded the needle for the three.
Post-match, NXT North American Champion Ethan Page confronted Tavion Heights—only for Heights to reveal his surprise partner: Tyra Mae Steele, LFG S1 winner and Olympic gold medalist. Consider that match instantly must-see.

DarkState def. Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans & Moose — Eight-Man Tag
DarkState kept their hot streak alive against a star-studded squad featuring NXT Champion Oba Femi, TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Moose.
Evans caught fire late with a flurry of aerial offense, but miscommunication dragged his side back to earth. When the tide turned, Trick Williams bailed on his partners, leaving Oba and Moose to fend for themselves. DarkState swarmed, secured the pin, and celebrated—until NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank hit the aisle and leveled everyone in sight, sending the show off the air in a brawl.
HONK! HONK!

Hank and Tank aren't backing down from a fight with DarkState!! pic.twitter.com/keXj6C506S
🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
- Trick walking out on Oba & Moose feels intentional—not a one-off. It neatly protects both champions while giving DarkState a signature scalp. Expect Hank & Tank vs. DarkState to heat up fast after that closing mugging.
- Tyra Mae Steele as Heights’ partner is a savvy play. Ethan Page loves mind games, but this reveal shifts momentum right back.
- Vice & Jordan look like they’re being calibrated for a major spotlight. That finish was crisp and decisive—exactly the kind of W that sets up title talks.
- Hendry keeps stacking TV wins. If NQCC can’t stabilize, Dempsey may pivot into a singles redemption arc.
- Nia Jax on NXT is newsy; even in guest shots, she feels like a gate you have to crash through to matter on Tuesday nights.
