WWE NXT Results - October 21, 2025: Halloween Havoc Go-Home Show — Paxley’s Moment, Slater Holds, and Trick vs. Saints Contract Tension

NXT closed out its final stop before Halloween Havoc. The show mixed personal storytelling with hard-hitting action: Tatum Paxley declared herself a challenger, Leon Slater retained the TNA X-Division title, the WWE Speed men’s tournament kicked off, and the Trick Williams–Ricky Saints contract signing boiled over into violence. Here are the full results, backstage beats, in-ring promos, and what it means heading into Saturday.
Full Results & Highlights (WWE NXT - October 21, 2025)
Tatum Paxley & Izzi Dame promo / Fatal Influence brawl
Tatum Paxley opened the night riding a huge wave after earning the No.1 contender spot for the NXT Women’s Championship. She cut an emotional promo about coming back from rock bottom and praised Izzi Dame and the Culling for believing in her. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Lainey Reid) crashed the moment — Jayne taunted Paxley, calling her a “creepy little weirdo” and insisting Paxley stands no chance at Halloween Havoc. The segment spilled into a full brawl; the Culling fought off Fatal Influence but the heels left with a clear threat. Paxley vowed she’d prove everyone wrong at the pay-per-view.
Winner/Outcome: Segment — Paxley remains No.1 contender.
Leon Slater (c) def. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo — TNA X-Division Championship
Fast, athletic base work opened the bout. Lorenzo matched Slater early with chops and strikes, even teaming with Arianna Grace to get him momentum. Slater stabilized mid-match with a tope con giro and later a picture-perfect 450 splash to finish. Post-match, Je’Von Evans gave a fired-up promo about pairing with Slater for a tag dream — until AAA’s Mr. Iguana, La Yesca and La Parka interrupted and announced a cross-promotion tag match for Halloween Havoc.
Winner: Leon Slater retains the TNA X-Division Championship.
Jasper Troy def. Zachary Wentz — WWE Speed Tournament, First Round
An all-out sprint of a Speed match. Wentz opened cleverly but Troy used power and a Bossman Slam to score the pin. Expect Troy to be a spoiler in the Speed bracket.
Winner: Jasper Troy advances.
Axiom def. Sean Legacy — WWE Speed Tournament, First Round
A technical, high-tempo contest that went back and forth in the final minute. Axiom’s athleticism and a finishing avalanche Spanish Fly earned him the victory and a place in the next round.
Winner: Axiom advances.
OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) def. Hank & Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger)
OTM opened with an ambush and kept control through dirty tactics. After brutal spots to the floor — including a powerbomb through the announce table — Lucien Price finished Tank with an assisted spinebuster.
Winner: OTM
Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Lainey Reid) def. The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley)
A tense tag that saw Tatum and Izzi control large stretches, but Fatal Influence leaned on opportunism and ring chemistry. Lainey landed a decisive neckbreaker after a distraction; Jayne hit the rolling elbow for the pin. Post-match, Fatal Influence surrounded Paxley and tried to deliver a beltshot — Paxley fought back and finished the segment standing tall, title shot intact.
Winner: Fatal Influence
Contract Signing: Trick Williams vs. Ricky Saints (NXT Men’s Championship)
Ava Raine hosted a charged contract signing. Trick Williams played the cocky main-eventer, insulting NXT and claiming he’s destined to be a three-time champion; Ricky Saints countered with the “blueprint” retort. The exchange turned violent when Trick shoved Saints and security separated them. Saints, steady and focused, ended the angle by smashing Trick through a table — a clear warning that the match at Halloween Havoc will be physical and personal.
Outcome: Signing ended in brawl — match on for Halloween Havoc.
Speechless.

Notable Backstage Moments
- Kelani Jordan found herself locked out of the locker room and criticized for associating with TNA; Jordynne Grace intervened in a show of cross-brand support.
- DarkState released a cinematic vignette promising a “Final Deletion”-style showdown; The Hardy Boyz answered with a filmed tease of their own. Expect a “Broken Rules” match to be heavily featured at the PPV.
- Sol Ruca was ruled not cleared to defend her NXT Women’s North American title due to injury. In her stead, Zaria agreed to defend the championship on Ruca’s behalf against Blake Monroe at Halloween Havoc — an unusual but intriguing twist.
Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
Tonight did exactly what a go-home should do: it clarified stakes and cranked emotional heat. Tatum Paxley’s ascension is the feel-good beat NXT needed — she’s sympathetic, vulnerable, and has the crowd behind her. Fatal Influence remains perfectly paced as the smarmy foil. Leon Slater retaining the X-Division title was the right call — he’s the promotion’s high-flyer and the AAA announcement gives the division real international bite.
The Trick Williams–Ricky Saints signing spilled into violence for good reason: that match has world-class storytelling potential and both men need the intensity. The Sol Ruca injury is a creative wrinkle; Zaria stepping in is smart TV — it protects the injured champ while giving Monroe a huge spotlight.
NXT’s Speed tournament is off to a clean start — Jasper Troy and Axiom look like credible tournament threats, and the bracket should produce new faces ready for bigger opportunities down the line.
Bottom line: Halloween Havoc now looks tightly booked across several divisions. The company balanced long-term character growth (Paxley, Slater) with short-term shocks (Hardy/DarkState, Ruca’s substitution). If NXT wants to leave the night before the PPV with momentum, tonight’s emotional beats and a few surprise tag announcements should do the trick.
