WWE Monday Night Raw is hitting the road this October with stops across the United States and one high-profile international stop in Australia after Crown Jewel 2025. While fans are always eager to see the red brand live, ticket prices continue to climb—and it’s sparking heated conversations about whether the product justifies the cost.

💸 Outpricing the Casual Fan

One of the biggest criticisms WWE faces right now isn’t what’s happening inside the ring—it’s what’s happening at the box office. Even nosebleed seats, once a budget-friendly way for families to experience Raw live, now run close to $250 for just two tickets when factoring in taxes, service fees, and parking.

That’s a steep ask for casual fans, especially given the general consensus that much of WWE’s weekly programming throughout 2025 has been “extremely mediocre” at best. For many, the question becomes: why pay premium prices for a mid-tier product when you can watch from home on Netflix in the comfort of your living room?

Unless you’re a die-hard fan determined to be part of the live experience, WWE’s pricing model risks pushing out the very audience that built its mainstream popularity.

🔥 Gunther’s Return on the Horizon

Fans may not have to wait long for the return of The Ring General. While WWE has not officially announced his comeback, multiple Australian ticket vendors are featuring Gunther’s image in promotional material for the Oct. 13 Raw in Perth.

Industry insiders believe his first on-screen appearance back could be saved for a surprise return at Crown Jewel, with the Oct. 13 Raw serving as his first televised match or promo segment. Gunther has been sidelined since his World Heavyweight Championship loss at SummerSlam due to injury, and WWE is clearly preparing to reintroduce him in dramatic fashion.

🏆 The Build to Crown Jewel

WWE Crown Jewel is set for October 11, just two days before the Perth stop on Raw’s schedule. Storylines are beginning to converge:

  • Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins has been confirmed.
  • John Cena vs. AJ Styles confirmed by Triple H on a X post.
  • Stephanie Vaquer vs. TIffany Stratton has been confirmed.
  • CM Punk’s involvement remains a hot question, with WWE teasing but not confirming his appearance on recent broadcasts.
  • Roman Reigns has been prominently featured on the newly released Crown Jewel poster, raising speculation about what role “The Tribal Chief” might play at the event.

The looming return of Gunther could add another marquee layer to the event, ensuring Crown Jewel delivers some of the year’s biggest moments heading into Survivor Series season.

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

WWE’s October slate shows two very different stories playing out at once. On one hand, the company is still capable of building anticipation—Gunther’s looming return could reignite Raw’s main event scene, and Crown Jewel is shaping up to be a blockbuster. On the other hand, the pricing model is alienating casual fans.

When the cheapest experience for a family night out costs as much as a household bill, it creates a disconnect between WWE’s mainstream branding and its accessibility. Unless WWE corrects course, the product risks becoming a spectacle primarily for die-hards, while the casual audience continues to drift toward streaming convenience.
