WWE Raw Preview - September 22, 2025: Wrestlepalooza Fallout & The Road to Crown Jewel in Australia

The dust is still settling from Saturday night’s Wrestlepalooza, but WWE isn’t slowing down. Monday Night Raw rolls into Evansville, Indiana, tonight as the company pivots quickly toward its next major international spectacle — Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia on October 11.
Stephanie Vaquer’s First Night as Champion
Saturday saw a massive shakeup in the women’s division when Stephanie Vaquer dethroned IYO SKY to capture the Women’s World Championship. La Primera’s win was the biggest of her career, and she won’t have long to savor it — she’s already locked into Perth, where she’ll square off against the reigning WWE Women’s Champion in a Champion vs. Champion clash.
But who will Vaquer face? That question won’t be answered until Friday’s SmackDown, when Tiffany Stratton defends her title in a Triple Threat against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill. Tonight, Vaquer is expected to appear live on Netflix, soaking in the spotlight as a new era begins.
Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins: History Reignited
At Wrestlepalooza, Cody Rhodes turned back Drew McIntyre to keep the WWE Championship. Now his next challenger isn’t just another superstar — it’s a man with a long, bitter history against him: Seth “Freakin’” Rollins.
Rhodes holds three victories over Rollins since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38, including their unforgettable Hell in a Cell showdown. This Crown Jewel match marks their first collision since those wars — and both men have something to prove.
Rollins also has unfinished business with CM Punk after he and AJ Lee upset Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza. With AJ forcing Lynch to tap to the Black Widow — her first tap-out loss in six years — Raw GM Adam Pearce will no doubt have to address what’s next for both AJ and Becky tonight.
Who Else is Advertised for Raw?
While no matches are officially announced, WWE is advertising appearances from Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, LA Knight, and Jey Uso. Knight and Uso aren’t likely to be in high spirits after being on the losing end of Saturday’s tag clash, where The Usos fell to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed with LA Knight controversially wearing the stripes as special referee.
Tonight’s Raw promises fallout, surprises, and a few seeds planted for Australia — even if the official card is still under wraps.
🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
Wrestlepalooza delivered in a big way, but Raw tonight is all about threading storylines toward Crown Jewel. Stephanie Vaquer’s arrival as champion feels fresh, and the Rhodes–Rollins rivalry has the kind of depth you don’t always get in modern WWE. Add AJ Lee suddenly looking like a legitimate contender again, and Raw has all the ingredients for a chaotic but exciting night. WWE’s international push means Perth is getting one of the most loaded cards in years, and Raw should be where that story starts to crystallize.
