WWE Raw Results - August 18, 2025: Naomi’s Announcement, Bron Breakker & Jey Uso Go Extreme and Roman Reigns Shocks The Vision

WWE Raw rolled into Philly with plenty of heat to kick things off, but the show as a whole felt uneven—solid moments mixed with stretches that lacked spark. With all the buzz swirling around the rumored “special” PLE in September, WWE Creative seems to be playing it safe since SummerSlam, leaving both Raw and SmackDown feeling like they’re missing that extra edge (BROCK, anyone?). That said, the night still delivered some strong matches, and seeing Bron Breakker in the main event was a highlight. He continues to prove why many believe he’s the future of WWE. The Extreme Rules match was gritty and hard-hitting—not quite ECW in the ’90s levels of chaos, but for the Netflix era, it worked. Let’s break down the full show below.
Show: WWE Raw On Netflix
Date: August 18, 2025
Location: Philadelphia, PA – Xfinity Mobile Arena
Commentary: Michael Cole & Corey Graves
Opening Segment – The Vision Runs Their Mouth, Jey Uso Fires Back
Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed opened the show with Heyman doing what Heyman does best: hyping his guys. He called Rollins the “reigning, defending, undisputed” champion, pegged Breakker as the future of WrestleMania, and christened Reed as the “Tribal Thief.”
Before Rollins could even cut his own promo, Jey Uso interrupted from the crowd. Uso mocked them all, took shots at Breakker’s family legacy, and challenged him to a fight in true Philly fashion. Heyman upped the ante: an Extreme Rules Match for tonight’s main event. The crowd loved it.

Post-match, Perez and Rodriguez jumped Sky until Rhea Ripley made a surprise save, planting Rodriguez and standing tall alongside SKY.

Backstage – Punk & Knight Don’t See Eye-to-Eye
LA Knight told Jackie Redmond that he’s locked in for Clash in Paris, but CM Punk wanted to push for some teamwork against Rollins’ faction. Knight wasn’t buying it, insisting that he’s the one leaving Paris with the World Heavyweight Title. Punk shook his head, knowing the tension was far from over.
Xavier Woods vs. Penta
Woods wanted revenge for Penta destroying his mourning hat. The fight was physical, with both men trading near-falls. Despite Kingston and Waller trying to tilt the match Woods’ way, Penta fought through and hit a Mexican Destroyer for the pin.

Non-Title Match: The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor & JD McDonagh) vs. Dragon Lee & Mr. Iguana
This was pure chaos from the start, with Iguana working in comedy spots alongside Dragon Lee’s athleticism. Despite a spirited showing, interference from Dominik Mysterio allowed Bálor to hit the Coup de Grâce for the victory.
Winners: The Judgment Day
Post-match, El Hijo del Vikingo evened the odds, running down to save Lee and Iguana in a wild brawl that left Dom standing tall holding both the IC Title and AAA Mega Championship.

Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Natalya
The Philly crowd was oddly quiet for this one. Natalya worked through a shoulder injury but couldn’t stop Lynch from locking in the Dis-Arm-Her for the submission win.
Winner & Still Champion: Becky Lynch
After the match, Nikki Bella shocked everyone with a return, saving Maxxine Dupri from Becky’s post-match assault and planting Lynch with a Rack Attack 2.0.

Women’s World Champion Naomi Addresses the WWE Universe
Naomi, joined by GM Adam Pearce, revealed emotional news: she and Jimmy Uso are expecting a baby. The crowd exploded in support… until Naomi turned it on them, mocking Pearce, insulting the locker room, and declaring she wasn’t handing over the Women’s World Title. She left it in the ring but promised to reclaim it after her pregnancy. The crowd chanted “Baby Uso” as Naomi walked out with attitude.

Main Event: Extreme Rules – Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker
This one was as wild as advertised. Breakker speared Uso through weapons, Uso fought back with chairs and tables, and the match devolved into chaos when Reed interfered. Rollins and The Vision swarmed Uso, but LA Knight and CM Punk tried to even the odds.
Then came the shocker: Roman Reigns’ music hit. The Tribal Chief stormed through the crowd, speared Breakker, and set him up for Jey Uso to land a massive top-rope splash through a table for the win.
Winner: Jey Uso
Post-match, Roman looked Reed dead in the eye and declared: “I’ll see you in Paris.” The show closed with Uso celebrating as Reigns made his statement clear.

🎙️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
This Raw wasn’t the most explosive show in recent memory, but it had its moments. Naomi’s heel promo stood out, blending her real-life joy with sharp storytelling that gives her return angle real momentum. Rhea Ripley reasserting herself is exactly what the women’s division needs right now. And while the pacing of the night felt slow at times, WWE saved its biggest punch for last—Roman Reigns’ shocking return. That moment alone reignited Philly’s energy and reminded fans why Clash in Paris could end up being one of the most loaded cards of the year.
