WWE Raw Results - September 22, 2025: Wrestlepalooza Fallout, Crown Jewel Build, and Shocking Betrayals

WWE Raw rolled into Evansville, Indiana, with its first live broadcast since Wrestlepalooza. New champions, bitter rivalries, and the road to Crown Jewel in Australia made this a night full of chaos, drama, and one stunning betrayal that left fans stunned.
Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins Face Off
The show opened with Cody Rhodes addressing the Evansville crowd, proudly displaying his newly-won Crown Jewel Championship signet ring. Before long, Seth Rollins — backed by Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed — interrupted.
Rollins dismissed his Vision allies and confronted Cody one-on-one. He spoke passionately about Crown Jewel, about being the true “alpha,” and about how Rhodes’ praise of him feels hollow. Cody shot back, reminding Seth of their shared history — WrestleMania, Hell in a Cell, and the respect they once had. Rhodes questioned Rollins’ reliance on Heyman and asked if their upcoming Champion vs. Champion match would truly be one-on-one.
With tensions boiling, Cody walked off, leaving Seth fuming in the ring as Heyman held back the Vision.
The Usos’ Family Tension
Backstage, Jey Uso vented to Jimmy about his frustrations with LA Knight and their Wrestlepalooza loss. Jimmy tried to cool him down, but Jey’s anger set the stage for later in the night.
No Disqualification Match: Penta & War Raiders def. Grayson Waller & New Day
This wild six-man brawl spilled everywhere, from kendo sticks to tables. Highlights included Kofi Kingston crashing through Penta with a leg drop, Ivar hitting a moonsault attempt gone wrong, and Waller taking a devastating avalanche flip piledriver from Penta for the finish.
Judgment Day Drama
Dominik Mysterio pleaded with Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh for help against Rusev, but his stablemates brushed him off. Eventually, JD agreed to face Rusev later in the night, setting up Judgment Day tension that simmered throughout the show.
Stephanie Vaquer’s Championship Celebration
The new WWE Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, was introduced by Adam Pearce. With her father cheering from the crowd, Vaquer delivered an emotional promo in both Spanish and English, thanking the fans for their support and vowing to keep making history as La Primera.
Her celebration was quickly interrupted backstage, as Rhea Ripley, Nikki Bella, and the Kabuki Warriors all hinted at future challenges. Pearce confirmed that Vaquer will face the winner of Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax at Crown Jewel.
Bayley def. Roxanne Perez
Bayley, accompanied by Lyra Valkyria, battled Perez in a back-and-forth match. Interference from Raquel Rodriguez gave Bayley the opening she needed, hitting the Roseplant for the win. Post-match, Bayley lashed out at Valkyria, continuing her unstable “Role Model” storyline.
Rusev def. JD McDonagh
Rusev dominated early, survived McDonagh’s high-risk offense, and eventually locked in the Accolade for the submission victory. Dominik Mysterio failed to help his partner, drawing Finn Bálor’s fury after the match.
Jey Uso def. LA Knight
Jey Uso scored the win after interference from the Vision, landing a spear to pin Knight. Post-match, Jimmy Uso grabbed a chair to protect Knight from a beatdown, while Jey walked away conflicted, furthering the family drama.
Main Event: Rhea Ripley def. Asuka
In a hard-hitting clash, Ripley survived Asuka’s submission arsenal and secured the win with a small package counter.
After the match, chaos exploded — Asuka unleashed poison mist, Kairi Sane hesitated before finally siding with her, and together they brutally attacked both Ripley and IYO SKY. The shocking betrayal ended the night, with Asuka and Kairi standing tall over their former ally.
🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
Raw delivered plenty of storyline meat as the fallout from Wrestlepalooza played out. Cody vs. Seth continues to feel like a main event program, but the real buzz came from the women’s division. Stephanie Vaquer’s heartfelt promo cemented her as a breakout star, while Asuka and Kairi’s betrayal of IYO SKY added a shocking wrinkle that could carry the division through Crown Jewel and beyond.
The Usos’ storyline also deepened, with Jimmy and Jey’s paths seemingly destined to clash. If WWE keeps layering these family tensions, it could give the red brand some of its strongest drama in years.
