WWE SmackDown Preview - October 31, 2025: Halloween Edition and Saturday Night's Main Event Go-Home

A storm is rolling into Salt Lake City.
It’s Halloween night, and the final WWE SmackDown before Saturday Night’s Main Event promises fireworks, bad blood, and a few tricks before the weekend’s treats.

📺 How to Watch WWE SmackDown (Oct. 31, 2025)

  • TV: USA Network
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT
  • Location: Delta Center — Salt Lake City, Utah

WWE SmackDown Card

  • Jade Cargill addresses the WWE Universe
  • WWE Champion Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre appear ahead of their title showdown
  • Ilja Dragunov issues a new U.S. Open Challenge
  • Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax
  • Carmelo Hayes vs. Kit Wilson

💎 Jade Cargill Addresses the WWE Universe

All eyes will be on Jade Cargill tonight as she finally breaks her silence following last week’s shocking attack on Tiffany Stratton.

Cargill blindsided Stratton moments after helping her fend off Giulia and Kiana James, sending a clear message—she’s done waiting her turn. With Stratton holding the WWE Women’s Championship, Jade made her intentions unmistakable: she’s coming for gold, and she’ll bulldoze anyone in her path to get it.

Tonight, the “Storm of SmackDown” grabs the mic to tell the world why. Expect fireworks.

🏆 Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre: One More Time

The tension between WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre reaches its breaking point just 24 hours before their title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Rhodes hasn’t won a match since Wrestlepalooza, and frustration has clearly gotten the best of “The American Nightmare.” McIntyre, meanwhile, is laser-focused on reclaiming championship glory—something that has eluded him since 2021.

Both men are scheduled to appear tonight, and with emotions running high, don’t be surprised if this final confrontation gets physical.

🐉 Ilja Dragunov’s United States Open Challenge

After defeating Aleister Black in a brutal match last week—with a little help from Damian PriestIlja Dragunov once again opens the door to any challenger brave enough to step up.

Black and Priest both have unsettled business, and with Zelina Vega adding emotional fuel to the fire, the U.S. Title picture could get messy fast. Expect mind games, potential run-ins, and maybe even a surprise opponent.

👑 Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax — Grudge Match

The once inseparable duo turns enemies once again. Alexa Bliss faces Nia Jax in a grudge match that’s been years in the making.

Jax recently tried to stir distrust between Bliss and Charlotte Flair, but judging by Monday’s Raw, the champions remain solid. Still, Bliss knows better than anyone how dangerous the “Irresistible Force” can be—especially when she’s in a foul mood.

💼 Carmelo Hayes vs. Kit Wilson

Carmelo Hayes says his feud with The Miz is over—now he’s out to prove he’s “HIM.” But Kit Wilson has other ideas.

After publicly calling out “toxic masculinity” in the locker room, Wilson has targeted Melo as the embodiment of everything he wants to “eradicate.” Expect a clash of egos and styles in what could quietly steal the show.

Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

Tonight’s SmackDown has all the makings of a loaded go-home show. Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre feels personal again, and Jade Cargill’s return could reshape the women’s division if WWE handles her right.

The blue brand’s momentum depends on how much real story progression we see tonight. Fans want answers—especially about Jade, Cody’s slump, and the lingering chaos in the midcard title scene. If WWE can deliver action and direction before Saturday Night’s Main Event, this could be one of the year’s most balanced shows, but we will have to wait and see.
