WWE SmackDown Results - August 15, 2025: McIntyre’s Message, Zayn’s Switch, Profits Roll, Big Win to Close

SmackDown rolled into a raucous TD Garden with Drew McIntyre justifying last week’s Claymore on Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn shocking the Blue Brand by declaring he’s officially SmackDown—eyes now set on the United States Title. In between, the women’s scene boiled over as Alexa Bliss outfoxed Piper Niven amid post-match carnage, The Street Profits edged DIY after ringside fireworks, and The Miz & Carmelo Hayes topped Fraxiom despite a frosty blind tag. The night closed with a statement six-man as Zayn, Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu outlasted Solo Sikoa’s crew, leaving Boston buzzing on the road to Clash in Paris.
Date: August 15, 2025
Location: TD Garden — Boston, MA
Commentary: Wade Barrett & Joe Tessitore
SmackDown opened with sweeping shots of Boston before cameras caught Drew McIntyre arriving—days removed from that brutal Claymore through the announce desk that left Cody Rhodes down last week.
Solo Sikoa stakes his claim; Sami Zayn returns… to SmackDown
Solo Sikoa hit the ring with his MFTs to declare they “run SmackDown,” rattling off names they’ve stomped out. Sami Zayn interrupted, saying he’d been so fixated on the World Title that he forgot the other goal he’s never achieved in WWE: the United States Championship. Solo tried to run him off SmackDown—until Sami revealed he’s officially moved to SmackDown. A swing from Solo sparked a brawl; the MFTs swarmed Zayn, Jimmy Uso tried to help and got overwhelmed, and then Jacob Fatu stormed in with superkicks to clear the ring. GM Nick Aldis booked a six-man tag for later.
Backstage – Chelsea Green & The Secret Hervice
Chelsea Green (with Piper Niven & Alba Fyre) vowed payback after last week’s cake incident. Piper promised no one disrespects their “Canadian hero” and gets away with it.
Alexa Bliss (w/ Charlotte Flair) def. Piper Niven (w/ Chelsea Green & Alba Fyre)
Niven bulldozed early—shoulder tackle, Bossman slam—until Bliss rallied with a senton and Natural Selection (hat tip to Flair). Chaos at ringside: Green to the apron, Flair tripped her; Fyre jumped up and ate a right hand from Bliss. Niven missed a corner splash, and Bliss rolled her up for the three.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
Post-match: Fyre cracked Bliss, Flair ran in hot, but Niven flattened Charlotte with a senton. Green hurled Flair into the post and timekeeper’s area, and the trio triple-teamed Bliss—ending the segment standing tall.
Backstage – Title scene tension
Tiffany Stratton jawed with Jade Cargill when Nia Jax stepped in, telling Jade to “fall back”—Jax would take Tiffany. Stratton smirked and walked; Nia and Jade stared down Aldis.

The Miz & Carmelo Hayes def. Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer)
Spot-fest with a shadow: Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis were shown in the crowd. Fraxiom hit stereo dives; Hayes answered with a powerbomb on Axiom. Axiom/Frazer strung together a top-rope Spanish Fly → Phoenix Splash sequence that nearly ended it, but Miz kept saving. Down the stretch, Miz blind-tagged, yanked Axiom into a DDT on the apron, Hayes countered a superplex into a cutter, and Miz swooped with the Skull-Crushing Finale for the pin.
Winners: The Miz & Carmelo Hayes
Post-match: Miz hugged a stone-faced Hayes, who didn’t love that blind tag spotlight.

Backstage – Kiana James pitches protection
Kiana James handed Stratton a business card, offering “protection.” Tiffany: “I’m the champion—I don’t need it.” James: “If you’re not with us, you’re against us.”
Drew McIntyre explains last week
In-ring, McIntyre ran back the footage and swore he didn’t “attack” Cody—he defended himself after Rhodes threw him post-match. Drew said Cody needs the WWE Title to be somebody; Drew “evolved” and wants it for himself, his family, and the paycheck. If provoked, he’ll do “very, very violent things.” Message received.

Backstage – Street Profits warned
Solo told The Street Profits (with B-Fab) that if they want the tag titles, they’re going through him first.
The Street Profits (w/ B-Fab) def. DIY (w/ Candice LeRae)
Fast hands from Ciampa and Gargano early, but the Profits swung it back—Ford strung together a Famouser, neckbreaker, standing moonsault. Ringside erupted: Candice hurled B-Fab into the steps; Gargano DDT’d Ford on the apron. B-Fab answered with a running knee to Candice, Ford rocked Gargano, Dawkins drilled a spinebuster, and Ford’s frog splash sealed it.
Winners: The Street Profits

R-Truth celebrated John Cena’s return; Aleister Black stepped in, dropped Damian Priest’s name, and promised to see Truth next week. The jokes stopped—Truth turned serious.
Backstage – uneasy alliance?
Zayn thanked Jimmy and Fatu for the save. Fatu replied he only helped his brother. Zayn: “He’s my brother too.” Fatu told Jimmy to tell Sami to stay out of his way.
Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu def. Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo & Tonga Loa (w/ Tala Tonga)
Jimmy blistered JC, tagged Zayn, and the numbers game swung the heels’ way with Tala’s boot on the floor. Solo mauled Zayn until a tornado DDT opened the door. Hot tag Fatu: clothesline, senton, corner splash, hip attack. Solo answered with an Uso Splash for two; superkicks flew, double clothesline reset. Chaos everywhere—Jimmy superkick to JC; Loa rocked Jimmy; Fatu superkicked Loa then wiped out Tala with a suicide dive. In-ring, Zayn launched the Exploder and crushed JC with the Helluva Kick for the win.
Winners: Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu
Post-match: Jimmy played peacemaker. Zayn and Fatu hugged as Boston roared and SmackDown signed off.

🗣️ MainEvent.News | Backstage Take
Smart episode that moved multiple chess pieces. McIntyre reframed last week as self-defense—classic heel logic dressed as truth—and planted the flag for an eventual Cody showdown. Zayn jumping to SmackDown instantly juices the mid-to-upper card, and calling his shot at the U.S. Title gives him purpose beyond the World scene. The Profits-DIY finish keeps both acts hot while the women’s division brewed real heat: Bliss got the W, but Green/Niven/Fyre walked out with momentum and a target on Flair. Miz/Hayes beating Fraxiom works for both teams—Hayes can stew over Miz’s spotlight steals heading into next week’s Guns match. And for the Bloodline-adjacent universe, Fatu looks like a force of nature; pairing him with Jimmy and Sami gives SmackDown a volatile trio that can spin into title chases or civil wars on a dime.
