WWE SmackDown Results - November 07, 2025: Cody Rhodes Battles Aleister Black, New Champion Crowned, and McIntyre Suspended
This week’s SmackDown kicked off in Greenville, South Carolina with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes addressing the fallout from Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The “American Nightmare” reflected on his controversial win over Drew McIntyre, saying that while he respected Drew’s strength, “his reluctance to pull the trigger has cost him before.” Cody said it was time to move on — and tonight, he wanted to sit among the fans and “decide together who’s next.”
That peace didn’t last long.
The arena went dark as Aleister Black and Zelina Vega emerged. Black taunted Cody, saying that since he “set Damian Priest on fire,” he’s been looking for something new — a title-sized chip on his shoulder. Vega stepped in front of Cody, warning that his “nightmare begins now,” before slapping him across the face.
General Manager Nick Aldis stormed out to restore order, making the challenge official — Cody Rhodes vs. Aleister Black in tonight’s main event!
WWE Men’s U.S. Title Open Challenge
Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Johnny Gargano
Dragunov’s open challenge was answered by Tommaso Ciampa, who quickly redirected the opportunity to his partner, Johnny Gargano.
At the bell, Ciampa cheap-shotted the champion, giving Gargano an early edge. Dragunov fired back with a flurry of suplexes and the Constantine Special, but Gargano’s resilience shined through.
Candice LeRae’s interference nearly cost Ilja, allowing Johnny to connect with a Poison Frankensteiner and One Final Beat — but the Mad Dragon kicked out!
Dragunov roared back, planting Gargano with a deadlift superplex and sealing the win with the H-Bomb to retain the title.
Winner: Ilja Dragunov (retains the WWE Men’s United States Championship)
Backstage – Sami Zayn, Aldis & R-Truth
Sami Zayn pleaded with Aldis to be at ringside for Rey Fenix’s match but was denied clearance again. In comic relief, R-Truth (dressed as “Ron Cena”) tried to enter himself in the Last Time Is Now tournament by “putting his balls in the tumbler,” leading to a classic Truth moment of chaos and confusion.
Backstage Confrontations
After the break, tensions flared backstage when Fraxiom mocked Tommaso Ciampa for his recent losses, calling him a “jackass.” Meanwhile, Jade Cargill strutted out with her new WWE Women’s Championship, declaring herself “that bitch” and warning the locker room that no one was safe.
Moments later, Cargill ran into Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre, Mia Yim, and B-FAB, leading to a heated exchange and a match being set for next week between Jade and B-FAB.
Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax
The Queen met the irresistible force in a match filled with power spots and physicality. Charlotte rallied with a crossbody and tornado DDT, but chaos erupted when Lash Legend hopped the barricade to choke out Alexa Bliss at ringside.
The distraction gave Jax the opening she needed — crushing Charlotte with a Banzai Drop for the pin.
Winner: Nia Jax
Afterward, Jax and Legend aligned officially backstage, calling themselves the “Bougie Bullies” and promising that this was only the beginning.
WWE Women’s U.S. Championship
Giulia (c) vs. Chelsea Green
Giulia dominated early with heavy strikes and suplexes, but outside interference changed everything. Kiana James tried to assist the champ but was neutralized by Alba Fyre. Amid the chaos, Chelsea rolled Giulia up with her feet on the ropes for leverage.
Winner and New Champion: Chelsea Green
Post-match, Green celebrated in the crowd on Ethan Page’s shoulders, basking in her controversial title win.
The MFTs, Solo Sikoa & The Wyatt Sicks
Backstage, Solo Sikoa scolded his MFT faction for failing to send a strong enough message last week, demanding they make things right against the Wyatt Sicks. As they walked off, the eerie Wyatt faction appeared from the shadows, teasing another collision course.
Rey Fenix vs. Talla Tonga
Before the bell, chaos erupted as Motor City Machine Guns and Shinsuke Nakamura attacked the MFTs. Once the match got going, Talla Tonga’s brute force overpowered Fenix’s speed. Despite Fenix’s explosive aerial assault, Tonga caught him mid-dive and finished him with a devastating Chokeslam.
Winner: Talla Tonga
After the match, Solo Sikoa ordered more punishment, but Sami Zayn ran in with a steel chair to save Fenix — igniting a huge crowd pop.
The Miz Speaks
Backstage, The Miz declared he doesn’t need a tournament to prove himself worthy of John Cena’s final match — claiming it should already be him. He vowed to beat Jey Uso next week and end Cena’s career because, as always, “The Miz is awesome.”
Main Event
Aleister Black (w/ Zelina Vega) vs. Cody Rhodes
This was a physical chess match from bell to bell. Cody used his agility and signature Cody Cutter, while Black targeted the arm with stiff kicks and submissions.
The momentum swung wildly until Drew McIntyre stormed down and obliterated Cody with a Claymore Kick! The referee threw the match out as chaos erupted.
Damian Priest ran in to even the odds, attacking McIntyre and Black. Priest hit his South of Heaven slam on Drew, while Cody dropped Black with another Cody Cutter.
As the dust settled, Nick Aldis appeared on stage, furious at the chaos, and announced Drew McIntyre is suspended effective immediately!
Result: No Contest
