WWE SmackDown Results - October 10, 2025: Factions Collide and Fire Flies Before Crown Jewel

(Spoilers: This aired live in Australia; U.S. audience beware — the show doesn’t broadcast until 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.)

WWE rolled into Perth tonight with one final stop before Crown Jewel, and the card delivered twists, returns, backstage heat, and tense build-ups. Here’s how it all went down — plus our backstage take and what to watch heading into tomorrow’s PPV.

Opening & Cody Rhodes Promo

  • The show opened with a cinematic video package of the men’s and women’s Crown Jewel titles being transported from the WWE Experience in Riyadh to the RAC Arena in Perth.
  • Live on the stage, Cody Rhodes made his entrance amid thunderous cheers. He opened by poking at the looming possibility of “doom and gloom” for Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, referencing Paul Heyman’s dire predictions.
  • Rhodes leaned into the narrative: Rollins may bend reality to serve his love for WWE, but in that world, Rhodes declared himself the one man Rollins can’t overcome. He name-checked Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley, Jey Uso, Orton, even CM Punk — and kept Rollins at the center of the discussion.
  • In essence, Rhodes solidified his role as the ultimate foil, teasing that no matter how much Rollins tries to dominate the narrative, Rhodes will remain his white whale.

Backstage Teases & Tension

  • Stephanie Vaquer was approached by Chelsea Green about joining “the Secret Service,” but before anything could materialize, Tiffany Stratton showed up. Green exited, and Vaquer and Stratton agreed to set aside tension — at least for tonight’s tag match.
  • Jacob Fatu intercepted Rhodes backstage and made bold claims that once Crown Jewel business concluded, he’d target the Undisputed WWE Title. As Fatu walked away, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis approached him — but that’s when Drew McIntyre blindsided Fatu, leading to a scuffle broken up by officials.

U.S. Title Open Challenge

Sami Zayn (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

  • Nakamura answered the open challenge, entering to his classic theme. The match took off with catch wrestling and chain holds, then Nakamura wrestled momentum with a leg drop and sliding German suplex.
  • After commercial, Nakamura landed strikes, a heel kick, and nearly locked in the Kinshasa, but Zayn powered through with counters, including an Exploder suplex and attempted Helluva Kick.
  • Nakamura nearly scored with a modified Kinshasa, but Zayn escaped and rolled him outside, bouncing him off the barricade. Things seemed tipped toward Zayn when a sudden interference interrupted everything.
  • A hooded figure entered, yanked Nakamura out, and unmasked as Tama Tonga, flanked by the rest of his stable (the M.F.T.s). They laid waste to both men.
  • Result: Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via disqualification and thus retained the U.S. Title.

Injury Note / Storyline Implications
Tonga’s return and the faction’s attack all but ensure the Bloodline conflict continues. Zayn and Nakamura were stuck in the crossfire — what’s next: a triple threat or full faction war?

  • Backstage, McIntyre and Fatu were set to clash next week on SmackDown. As Aldis attempted to mediate, Fatu charged, and referees intervened.

Women’s Tag Match

Stephanie Vaquer & Tiffany Stratton vs. Giulia & Kiana James

  • The match began with James cheap-shotting Vaquer, who responded with a back suplex. Giulia tagged in and took control briefly before Stratton got tagged.
  • Stratton’s offense was impressive: somersault clothesline → slam → near falls. Giulia distracted, hit a knee, and nearly followed with a bomb before Vaquer broke up the pin.
  • The match spiraled into chaos: Vaquer hit a version of Angel’s Wings but Giulia broke it. Stratton then blind tagged in, and after Vaquer cleared Giulia from the outside, Stratton hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on James to seal the victory.
  • Result: Vaquer & Stratton defeated Giulia & Kiana James.
  • Afterward, Vaquer and Stratton stood before the Women’s Title (theirs for tomorrow) and stared each other down.
  • Later backstage, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss confronted Zaria & Sol Ruca, granting them a shot at the Women’s Tag Titles.

WWE Tag Team Championship

The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis) (w/ Nikki Cross & Erick Rowan) vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) (w/ B-Fab)

  • The Street Profits started strong, tossing the Wyatts hard and dominating early. Outside, Dawkins cleared both Gacy and Lumis at ringside.
  • Returning from break, the Wyatts regained control with staggered offense and nearly hit a double superplex — Dawkins intervened.
  • B-Fab attacked Nikki Cross outside. Rowan threatened B-Fab, allowing Cross to deliver a running leap. Dawkins dove over the top to drop Rowan.
  • Ford ascended for a Frog Splash, but Lumis pulled Gacy to safety, leaving Ford vulnerable. The Wyatts capitalized: they hit the Plague on Ford and secured the pin.
  • Result: The Wyatt Sicks retained the WWE Tag Team Championships.
  • After the bell, Solo Sikoa and the M.F.T.s made their presence felt, locking eyes with the Wyatts in a menacing stare-down.

Main Event: Last Man Standing

Damian Priest vs. Aleister Black

  • The match was brutal from the start: Priest attacked corners, threw Black over the top rope, and tried to bring in a kendo stick. Black struck back, but Priest dominated with damage to the head and ribs.
  • Through multiple spots — commentary table bumps, steel steps assaults, a near-killing attempt with steps, and a platform fight — Priest appeared on the verge of victory.
  • In a dramatic turn, Zelina Vega returned, checking on Black. Priest refused to relent and was met with a surprise fireball to the face, followed by Black’s Black Mass kick through a table.
  • Black could not answer the ten-count.
  • Result: Aleister Black won via Last Man Standing over Damian Priest.
  • Vega’s return — aligned now with her real-life husband — was the decisive turning point. Her transformation and presence set a new tone for Black’s trajectory.

Backstage Take & What This All Means

Tonight was less of a “go-home” show and more of a mini-pay-per-view — loaded with faction returns, surprise interference, and tight booking. The fact that Tama Tonga — and by extension the M.F.T.s — reentered the U.S. Title picture so recklessly bodes well for deeper Bloodline storytelling. Zayn retains by DQ but is now mired in alliance warfare.

Meanwhile, Aleister Black’s win over Priest positions him as a high-stakes dark horse heading into Saturday — and Zelina Vega’s reintroduction as his partner could be a game changer. The Women’s scene remains volatile, but Stratton and Vaquer seem primed to settle their real tension with titles fully in the mix. The Tag division is now a bubbling three-way (Wyatts, Street Profits, M.F.T.s), and crowds were treated to multiple major brawls tonight.

The tension is high. We aren’t guaranteed clean finishes at Crown Jewel — tonight proved anything can happen.
