WWE SmackDown Results - September 12, 2025: Lesnar & R-Truth Steal the Show, Zayn Retains, Cargill vs. Stratton Ends in Chaos, McIntyre vs. Orton Main Event Shockers

WWE SmackDown (September 12, 2025) came to fans live from Norfolk, Virginia’s Scope Arena, delivering one of the most unpredictable, wild nights in recent memory. From Brock Lesnar’s comedy-turned-destruction with R-Truth, to Sami Zayn’s hard-hitting U.S. Title defense against Rey Fenix, to a bloody McIntyre vs. Orton war that ended with Cody Rhodes’ fiery return—this episode had it all.
Brock Lesnar Interrupted by… “Ron Cena”?!
The Beast Incarnate opened SmackDown ready to deliver a message, but instead got interrupted by the one and only R-Truth, rapping his way to the ring. In vintage Truth fashion, he welcomed Brock back and claimed he was no longer scared of him.
The comedy went next level when Truth declared himself “Ron Cena,” John Cena’s brother, here to defend Cena’s honor. Brock, struggling to keep a straight face, asked if they shared the same mother—Truth quipped back, “No, same dad.”
The crowd loved it, but Lesnar wasn’t laughing for long. After pointing out Truth was “missing a tooth,” Brock nailed him with a devastating F5—splitting his pants in the process. Embarrassed but grinning, Brock gave the crowd a little dance before storming off.
Now what did @RonKillings do to deserve that? 😡 pic.twitter.com/ypDWVs1T40

In one of the night’s best matches, Zayn and Fenix delivered a high-energy, lucha-meets-strong-style clinic. Fenix dazzled with springboards, tornillos, and a brutal double stomp across Sami’s neck, but Zayn wouldn’t die.
After surviving a Rolling Thunder DDT and nearfall Frankensteiner, Sami roared back with corner offense. A thunderous Exploder suplex set up the Helluva Kick, sealing the win.
