WWE SummerSlam 2025 Pre-Show Gets Super-Sized with Mega Countdown

For the first time ever, WWE SummerSlam will span two blockbuster nights—Saturday, August 2nd, and Sunday, August 3rd—live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. But the action doesn’t just start at bell time… WWE is loading the weekend with six hours of pre-show content across both days.

According to a report by WrestleVotes’ TC, WWE will roll out three-hour “Countdown to SummerSlam” specials ahead of each night’s 6 p.m. ET main card. That means fans can tune in starting at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT each day on WWE’s YouTube channel, making for an entire day of wrestling content both Saturday and Sunday.

💣 What to Expect on the Pre-Shows:

  • Exclusive interviews
  • Final storyline builds
  • Last-minute match card updates
  • Surprise appearances and kickoff angles
  • Panel discussions and fan reactions live from MetLife

And that’s before the main shows even begin.

💥 Tag Team Carnage on the Horizon

One of the most anticipated matches of the weekend is the 6-Team TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships, featuring:

  • Wyatt Sicks
  • Motor City Machine Guns
  • The Street Profits
  • #DIY
  • Andrade & Rey Fenix
  • Fraxiom

While WWE hasn’t confirmed which night the chaotic TLC bout will go down, Sunday looks like the most likely slot, as Saturday’s card already includes six matches and Sunday currently has five.

📺 How to Watch

  • United States: Streaming live on Peacock
  • International: Watch live on Netflix
  • Main Show Start Time: 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT
  • Countdown Shows: 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT on YouTube

🎙 MainEvent.News | Backstage Take

This is WWE’s way of turning SummerSlam into a full-blown festival. Between two main events, a tag team TLC war, and now six hours of pre-show content, fans are getting more than just a wrestling show—they’re getting an immersive experience. SummerSlam isn’t playing second fiddle to WrestleMania anymore. But, is this too much wrestling in one weekend? TKO keeps pushing the limits, fans may get burned out keeping up. We will have to wait and see.
