WWE SummerSlam Feud Heats Up: Drew McIntyre Rips Jelly Roll Over Weight Loss Praise

With WWE SummerSlam 2025 just around the corner, tensions are boiling over — and Drew McIntyre has turned his fury toward none other than country-rap star Jelly Roll.
While fans have celebrated Jelly Roll’s inspiring weight loss journey — dropping from over 400 pounds to under 300 — McIntyre isn’t buying the hype. In fact, he’s insulted.
On a private jet headed to a wedding overseas, McIntyre posted a scorching video message aimed directly at his upcoming SummerSlam opponent. And he didn’t hold back.
“You’re celebrated for being just under 300 pounds for SummerSlam. What kind of goal is that?” McIntyre snapped. “You’re celebrated for not looking like an advertisement for diabetes anymore, while people expect Drew to be the most jacked guy around.”
McIntyre, who teams with Logan Paul against Randy Orton and Jelly Roll at SummerSlam, made it clear that while wrestling may be a “dream come true” for Jelly Roll, it’s his life — and the ring isn’t a fantasy.
“This is just a hobby to you,” he said. “I’m going to beat the f**k out of you. This little dream of yours is going to become a nightmare. Bon voyage.”

Jelly Roll has been training at the WWE Performance Center with help from heavyweights like Jacob Fatu and The Undertaker, impressing many with his commitment. On a recent episode of SmackDown, he even hit Logan Paul with a massive Black Hole Slam — popping the Cleveland crowd in the process.
But McIntyre’s threats promise that the honeymoon phase is over. SummerSlam may be Jelly Roll’s debut, but McIntyre aims to make it a painful wake-up call.

MainEvent.News | Backstage Take:
Drew McIntyre isn’t just cutting promos — he’s cutting deep. The former WWE Champion sees Jelly Roll as a tourist in his world, and that resentment is turning into real heat. Whether it’s mind games or genuine disdain, one thing’s for sure: this match just became must-see.
