WWE Superstar Enters Concussion Protocol Following Brutal Wrestlepalooza Clash

WWE’s first-ever Wrestlepalooza on ESPN lived up to the hype with blockbuster matches, championship drama, and a spectacle fit for the grand stage. Fans witnessed everything from Brock Lesnar dismantling John Cena in one of the most emotional moments of Cena’s farewell run, to Stephanie Vaquer capturing her first WWE Women’s World Championship, to Cody Rhodes surviving Drew McIntyre in a grueling Undisputed WWE Title defense.
The event also marked a historic return — AJ Lee laced up her boots for the first time in a decade, teaming with husband CM Punk to topple Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in one of the night’s most talked-about matches.
But not every headline was celebratory. Behind the excitement, one of WWE’s most beloved stars may be facing a setback.
Jey Uso Injury Update
During the emotional tag team bout pitting The Usos against Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed, chaos reigned when steel chairs got involved. In the melee, Jey Uso accidentally took the brunt of a misfired chair shot, which reportedly left him dazed.
Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer reported:
“Jey busted himself open, he hit Bron with the chair and it bounced off Bron’s back and split him six ways from Sunday. He’s in concussion protocol, which is a requirement after any injury like this.”
With LA Knight serving as the special guest referee, tensions were already high given his ongoing friction with Jey heading into the event. The finish saw Breakker spear both Usos through a table before Reed crushed Jey with a Tsunami splash for the pinfall. Jey’s injury is believed to have occurred shortly before that closing sequence.

What’s Next?
Concussion protocol doesn’t guarantee extended time away, but WWE has become increasingly cautious with head-related injuries. If cleared quickly, Jey could still be active in storylines. If not, it could impact both his feud with Knight and The Usos’ reunion momentum.
🎙️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
This is tough timing for Jey Uso. His reunion with Jimmy had the crowd in Indianapolis rocking, and the ongoing friction with LA Knight looked like it was about to evolve into one of SmackDown’s most heated storylines. WWE’s concussion protocol is the right move — but if Jey is sidelined, expect Knight to run his mouth on TV while the Usos’ return heat simmers. The silver lining? Fans are already invested, and that kind of organic support doesn’t fade overnight.
